  1. Photo from outside the BBE Ewood Park 1929. Rovers record crowd of 62,522 FA cup vs Bolton.
  2. Everyone will be behind you and your mum. I’m certain of that. Best wishes to you both roverandout..
  3. JDT has been done over by the owners. That’s the bottom line. They just don’t understand the dangers of doing nothing.
  4. I keep reading that the score line flattered Leicester. Im not sure about that. They weren’t four lucky goals were they? Like I said that was classic relegation football from rovers. Teams with leaky defences and no strikers always struggle.
  5. Sound on, watch this…… https://x.com/mrdanwalker/status/1708739779326603551?s=61&t=FPxP9rw03Z61jd2pGmotEQ
  6. The bottom line really is that the club is in completely the wrong hands. Venkys, Waggott and Broughton should be nowhere near Ewood Park. None of them have anything in common with either the town or the club and none of them have any record of success. Why are they here?
  7. I’ve not read any comments beyond what is on this one page. That was relegation football.
  8. Closing the BBE and totally pissing fans off will do what to attendances?
  9. That’s a very cold, business like reply. It just emphasises that he doesn’t understand Rovers fans - or probably fans of any club. He might as well just have said “it saves money, tough”. I don’t think Waggott or Blackburn Rovers and the fans have anything in common at all.
  10. I never, ever thought I’d see a rovers first team playing in front of a closed BBE. Jeez, if it’s not worth opening the BBE it’s not worth playing in the first place.
  11. A lot of good but so much fundamentally wrong with this squad.
  12. When we lose the ball in midfield we’re vulnerable. Too many midfielders square or ahead of the ball. Works well when we have possession, but not good enough when we lose it.
  13. Polio vaccine 1965. Some of our posters will have memories of the polio outbreak in Blackburn and how it affected the town and the team. I seem to remember the town was shut off to outsiders (or the advice was to stay away). My mum and Dad wouldn’t let me go to the rovers games at that point. I also remember that because of that outbreak, rovers didn’t start their season on time meaning they were rooted to the bottom of the table and never recovered. Relegated just 3 seasons after the great team of 63/64.
  14. A truly ambitious and well run club with mega rich owners would look to build on their assets, not sell them.
  15. The most important part of that Broughton interview for me was the enforced cut in the wage bill of 15% on top of the club having to finance any buys itself. That is the owners cutting their financial input significantly with no guarantees of future commitment. That’s a huge backward step and must leave everyone at Ewood in the dark and quite worried. How can any kind of plans be laid under those circumstances? Very difficult and hard to see how any kind of progress can be made. Indeed the opposite is far more likely I.M.O.
  16. Maybe he’s been appointed to oversee the sale of the club.
