  1. Agree with all that - I just pointed out that the embargo was being used as a handy excuse
  2. The ( self imposed ) embargo was a handy excuse not to spend money. If we had posted the accounts earlier it would have been lifted or not imposed in the first place.
  3. Exactly. We keep hearing about the journey the club is on. No point picking up too many hitchhikers only to drop them off a few miles later.
  4. I think this comparison may be stretching it a little!
  5. Some things not changed from last season Rovers concede Armstrong scores Corry Evans leaves the field injured Just waiting for the Mowbray nonsense summary after the match
  6. Good - I'm fed up of hearing his name
  7. Losing very quickly becomes a habit - as we all know from the last two seasons. Having a thin squad is no reason to want to be out of a competition but the fact that you see it that way shows what Venky's have done to us all.
  8. And no swimming pool - don't know how important that is but must be classed as a downgrade. Once we've sold the land there is no going back - can't 'upgrade' again in the future.
  9. What a kind and thoughtful letter. How nice of Balaji to spare some of his precious time to comfort his loyal subjects and reassure us all that the club really is in safe hands and the future is bright. Honestly, what have we all been worrying about! We can now sit back, relax and enjoy the football. Happy days, Life is simply peachy.
  10. 00000 would have sent a clear message of disapproval. They obviously see 4000 as an endorsement to carry on selling the club down the river
  11. Mike Cheston confirmed we were in trouble months ago - it's not guesswork
  12. Mike Cheston said exactly that in the Fans Forum minutes of Jan 2020 - 'We are on the brink' I think were his words. We needed to sell Dack to avoid problems back then. Things have not changed and we now need to sell Armstrong. I think it has been common knowledge for a long time.
  13. We would have hope, pride and dignity rather than being the playthings of uninterested billionairs thousands of miles away.
  14. My feelings exactly. I know a lot of people think boycotting is a cop out and not constructive in any way but it's our only weapon against the Venky regime. as you say -"When you have absolutely no customer base, it’s impossible to ignore". If we could organise a single game where everybody boycotted it would have a big impact. We have to act if we want things to change. It will be beneficial in the long run and we will eventually get our Rovers back.
  15. Exactly right. It's like the band continuing to play as the Titanic sank - just carry on as normal and hope the problems go away. Never too late to do something about it. I have a feeling many of the passive supporters may well turn this season. Once the majority realise we are on the road to ruin we may be able to get some protests going. Never too late. Recalim the Rovers
  16. Avoid all this stress and worry - join the boycott! Away matches are much more fun anyway.
  17. Mowbray: “We might get four, might get five, might get six, but they have to be way below salary levels" I can't see Reach's salary demands being in such a low bracket. Relying on loans is so short sighted, I'd much rather blood our own youngsters.
  18. Yes, I guess that's true - but I sticking to it on principle.
  19. As a former ST holder now boycotting, wouldn't you prefer NOT to put money in Venky's pockets ? NAPM and all that ?
  20. I beg to differ. We all know Mowbray can't last 90 minutes without a quick nap in the stands.
  21. They backed another clown and let him run amok without supervision. The owners have the ultimate responsibility but don't take it seriously. The club is in chaos and, as you point out, the clowns are being allowed to run the whole circus. Venky's out
  22. Rovers: Kaminski (Stergiakis, 75), Nyambe (Magloire, 75), Lenihan (c) (Carter, 46), Ayala (Annesley, 75), Pickering (Cirino, 75), Davenport (Garrett, 62), Buckley (Nolan, 75), Rothwell (Weston, 75), Chapman (Gilsenan, 75), Butterworth (McBride, 62), Armstrong (Vale, 62). Assuming Armstrong is going, then even with Travis, Dack , Gallagher and Wharton added to that squad it looks paper thin to me.
  23. I see what you did there - nice one. Sadly, it's also very true.
  24. I refuse to attend under the current regime but would be at every game if Venky's left and we ended up in NW Counties - so, yes, maby I would be happy.
