  3. There's a couple of articles on the front page today covering manager speculation: Farking Hell! looks at a few of the runners & riders and also we asked on Twitter who you wanted to see, but only accepted wrong answers, have a look at this weeks This Week On Twitter: Wrong answers only.
  4. I know the prevailing view of BRFCS.com members towards Tony & his tenure at Ewood is negative and with his contract expiring this summer it does feel like the right time to go for reasons that have been done to death in previous posts, but I think a lot of what he's done for the club while he's been here is largely behind the scenes and not instantly visible or front of people's minds. So, here's a list of things that I think are better than when he arrived. 1) League position. The trend between 2017 and today has been upwards, only 1 season did we finish lower than the season before. Well, technically 2 because 2nd in League 1 is lower than the Championship. 2) Squad value/saleability. There's no denying Blackburn are both reliant now on the owners benevolence, and player sales to stay afloat and under Tony we've now had sales of raya, Armstrong and probably Brereton (arguably Dack would also have gone for a tidy profit if he hadn't been sidelined) to help keep us going. We've also had a nice steady stream of players graduate from the academy and should be saleable assets in the future. The down side to this is debt is still growing but with factors like having a season with no fans it's hard to pin that on Tony ... look elsewhere in the club. 3) Our recruitment network is back up and running after being in tatters. 4) We are a trusted club with top class clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City willing to lend us their upcoming talent like Elliot, Adarabioyo and Van Heck because they know the players will be developed on and off the pitch, not just used as bench warmers. Like it or not these kind of players are a big source of talent for teams like us. 5) Stability. He halted the crazy shit-show that was the Blackburn Rovers Managerial Merry Go Round of Ineptitude (Coming soon to an Easter Fayre near you). So there's my 5 reasons, I actually have a few more but I think that'll do. Despite everything that's happened since Christmas this has been one of my favourite seasons watching the team and it will stay with me for a long time.
  5. Gertcha mobiles out ... and vote for Man of the Match ...
  6. What about non-rovers related stuff? Some of the stuff foreign teams come up with is brilliant.
  7. Apart from the obvious replica shirts, training gear, scarves & pens, what's the best football merch you've ever seen? Rovers related or not.
  8. final_6254559e54463b008a53b8c4_743055.mp4 Tony & Waggers at lunch ...
  9. The National Library of Scotland has just released some new geo-coded OS maps ... unfortunately the one that might or might not show the ground at Leamington Road is just off what they have released 😞 https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=18.152241674182456&lat=53.75206&lon=-2.50313&layers=117746212&b=1 It's still a fascinating map otherwise.
  10. https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/football/match/717276/blackburn-blackpool?tab=voting Get your votes in for today’s man of the match…
  11. I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, our time wasting … or this:
  12. Fulham spent more on agents fees that we did on players, gambling & increasingly crypto money having more & more influence, shady owners, brazen "bad actor" owners (oligarchs, governments with a blatant disregard for human rights) ... it's hard to see how this is going to end well.
  13. Read the full article on BRFCS.com https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/articles/sou-yes!-when-rovers-hired-souness/196 I was in my 3rd job out of college at the time, working in IT for the local council and I was manning the admin cabin at Witton for some local sports event where Souness was presenting trophies or something. He came to the cabin with some councillor who left him in my hands, so I offered him a brew ... "Yes please, tea, milk & 2 sugars." I look around for the tea ... "Ah, sorry, we've no tea" "Coffee then, the same please." Off I go to make his brew, only to find ... "... we've no milk ... or sugar" The look on Graham's face was petrifying, I could feel the blood run from my face and I must have looked like I was going to cry! "Never mind", and he wandered off.

  18. Here's a little thread to keep track of any site updates ... Over the weekend we made some improvements to the way player stats are displayed on the Match Center We've made it possible to link directly into a tab on the Match Centre, mainly for our benefit when creating posts, but you can link straight to the Stats page for example We added a couple of new tabs for the Match Report and Match Highlights if and when they are available. We also added the ability to browse older articles on the article page, use the Next & Previous buttons at the bottom of the page. Not a bad batch of updates that, we took most of Christmas off to recharge a bit and now we're back and working on a list of things to improve the site for you all.

  22. He's likely to line up for the U23s tonight ... long way to the first teram and full fitness from there but a first competative game would be a great milestone.
