We didn’t switch the ads on, they’ve been on for years. I don’t know how long but certainly before I got involved (when the site was down and no one was around to fix it) The ads are off, for now, on the articles because google wanted to place them right at the top above the header in a very large format so I removed them. As soon as they work ok on those pages they will be switched back on. the ads are not based on the content, they are based on what google knows about your interests. the downgrades happened for technical reasons as the various plug ins and extras people had written over the years became incompatible with the forum software, and not having anyone to fix them.

There was a forum update a couple of days ago, there was nothing in the notes about any notification changes but you never know. Try logging out, clear the cache and all the usual stuff tech support tells you to do 🙂 Send me a DM if it's still not working.

The 92 Club is definitely on our list of things to do. It broke a couple of forum upgrades ago unfortunately, but it will more likely than not be back. Where did the other 2 used to be, I've not seen them at all, drop me a DM ....

If you're viewing the magazine part of the site you won't get any bedunks, but you should still get them if you have the forum open, I'm getting them as this thread updates.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, it's been hard work to set this up, I know it won't be to everyone's taste but the positive feedback is most welcome, as are bug reports of things that don't quite look or work properly & thanks to those who have submitted them. Without mentioning the word "advert" or any synonym, is there anything you'd like to see on the site? Something cool another club's fan site does that we could have a look at for BRFCS?

Ah, the COVID passports we were told we definitely wouldn’t be having. You’re probably right. I work on the turnstile of a non league club (#UpTheBriggers) and the number of people that didn’t have a phone or said they didn’t, or who’s phone was too old for the app made up a sizeable portion of the crowd before the last lockdown. It’ll be an interesting problem for sure.

Taken out of context they are ludicrous, but they've been updated with covid in mind and given how covid is spread in moisture droplets the shouting/singing advice makes a bit more sense, even if it flies in the face of traditional behaviour at a football ground, but let's face it, things aren't normal yet. They're pissing in the wind of course, they'll never be able to enforce it. It'll be interesting to see how they enforce the photo id rule though because we don't live in a country where you're required to have photo id (I know several people who's paper driving licence is still valid) so if you don't have photo ID you're barred from football?

Maybe it's time for some creative thinking when it comes to season tickets. Maybe just do it as a monthly membership (like Hull I think) that you pay 12 months a tear but gets you in to every game at Ewood. More like a Gym membership, Netflix or Amazon Prime.

You'd hope that leaving your season ticket money in the club despite not be able to go would earn you a free shirt, not the opportunity to splash another £50 the clubs way 🙂

I do think this model mixed with Germany's 50+1 ownership rule would made an interesting combination, with the 51% providing the continuity & long term stability with speculators making up the 49%
