v Preston North End (h) - 10/11/23

Don't think we have tbh. I think they'll probably get left off until after Leeds as you say, I can't see Swag paying someone to put them back on only to remove them again on a month to reinstall again. -

They'll be moved anyway as we didn't do it properly, it's just basically white bin bags over the seats! Agree that hopefully they'll put them back properly centralised - if anyone can be arsed! -
Alan "Birdy" Birkbeck - RIP

Likewise. Really surprised our paths haven't crossed at some point but we're definitely a few of his like short. -

TBF to the ref on this one, I think most of us probably thought it was a red in real time, it was only after seeing the replays that you could see Scott clearly gets the ball. He only had one look at it & had to make a call. Not very often I'll defend a referee! Thankfully, it didn't affect the result on Sunday (maybe only our GD) & common sense has prevailed meaning SW is available for Friday. Oh, & Swag will be happy, he gets his Β£500 deposit back! π -

RIP Birdy! ππ€ -
That's one of the most insane halves of football I've ever seen! Entertaining though. VAR a waste of space, I don't think Michael Oliver's made a decision all game! Spurs in full control until that Ugdogie (or whatever his name is) lunged in with 2 feet & how that wasn't a red I don't know!

TBF, I usually do the same but generally around Feb to see if we've any chance.

v Chelsea (a) - 1/11/23 - Carabao Cup

Just watched it back myself & you're right, Carter has his hand up and you can clearly hear him screaming to Leo with his hand up clearly trying to tell him to 'hang on a minute'. If the mics around the pitch are picking it up above the crowd noise then surely he must be able to hear him. -

I'll be honest, I actually like him. He's only young & obviously comes from a continental background where punching, rather than catching, is the norm. As daft as it sounds, I'm not as nervous with him in goal as Pears. Not a patch on TK obviously, but I at least have confidence in him stopping a shot. This punching shit needs to stop though & needs coaching out of him him - is BB the man to do this? I very much doubt it. All the drills I see online are shot stopping!! Nothing relating to dealing with crosses into the box under pressure! -

Maybe our new strike pairing could EAT the championship defences alive! π -
Rovers' last 7 managers ranked

π. Yeah, I think the lost column should say 14, provided the others are correct. -

Totally agree. The biggest mistake was not coming for the ball with the 2 previous opportunities. Having said that. For the actual header, he should've used his feet. Christ, he could've trapped it! I'll still cut him some slack as all keepers make mistakes & it didn't seem to affect him which is the main thing. -

So sorry to hear that mate. You really have been dealt a rough hand at the moment. Stay strong pal! Thoughts & prayers with you. -
Venkyβs v Indian Government (a)
windymiller7 replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I used to work for a consultancy firm owned by Gary Neville around 2008/9 (King Associates) and it was around the time that the house was being completed. I've actually been to the house a few times. Whether Venkys still own it or anyone else does/resides there, I've no idea. What I do know is, it's at Top of Th Knotts in Bolton and definitely did not have gold taps! π The building at the top of the photo also forms part of the estate. This is, what was, the housekeeper's cottage - Gary & Emma lived in this whilst the main house was being completed. -

His missus is pregnant isn't she? Wonder if it's anything to do with that. -

That *was* the January Window
windymiller7 replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Offer him a "pay as you play" deal. He's currently earning nothing & wants to prove himself, if he's a crock, it costs us nothing. Surely got to be worth a phone call (not that it will happen). Someone of his ability & experience could rip up this league & prove a very valuable member of the dressing room.. On a side note, I didn't realise he was only 32, seems to have been around for ages! -
Dilan Markanday.. potential talent or ?
windymiller7 replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Agree with that. He seems to want to come centrally. A few times last night I noticed him & Semir making the same runs leaving us with less options.
