  1. I just watched a YouTube video by Tom Bogert, the American journalist who linked us with the Orlando striker Duncan McGuire. Interesting that he mentions the loan offers included a purchase option.
  2. Seem to worry about getting hit than winning the ball. So bloody soft.
  3. I'm suspecting there's no option on either of these players we've brought in. "The owners want us to be a sustainable Premier League club" The optics are that we're struggling to be a sustainable Championship club.
  4. It's been said on numerous ocassions now that with the High Court malarkey ongoing, they can send money to pay for their current obligations, but no additional income for transfers. What does seem clear so far, is that we're reducing the wage bill across the board, probably by about 15%......
  5. Must be a different Ayari, this lads been at AIK as a kid and then Brighton.
  6. There are probably other teams. I just watched Brighton against West Ham the other day and they play similar to how we (try) to play.
  7. Exactly. The rest of what you've said has little to do with the earlier point made. I have no problem with letting Travis go, if we will 'bring in a player who will be selected more.' What I would have a problem with is not replacing him at all, the club stating he's being replaced internally (i.e. via an academy graduate) or him being replaced by someone who doesn't have the same amount of time or appearances at first team level. I know it's not JDT single handedly who picks the players, but as you rightly say, he has an input. If it's forced on him that Trav is replaced with an inferior player, I'm sure we'll know....which in its own right, is an explanation isn't it?
  8. If the replacement has less than 200 appearances at Championship level or above, then Venkatesh Twatteries, SW, GB and JDT have explaining to do. Don't cry over a lack of experience and get rid of the player with (likely) the most appearances in league games.
  9. We can, but funds would need to exist already (e.g. from sales last summer) or be obtained by player trading in this Window. That's how I understand it.
  10. I did read earlier in the week they were looking at terminating the loan. Think he's only played 9 games.
  11. So he's fallen off because he's wanted to go back to Bournemouth?
  12. I get your dislike for Broughton, but for me you've hit the nail on the head with Pune & Maggott. All signs lead to the fact that one won't sanction any money for players over a certain age (see Batth and what an earlier poster wrote). The other is just happy to pick up a wage without applying himself to the club imo. This lad is not really what we need, unless someone is off or we aren't renewing Barnes contract. However its clear that signing anyone over a certain age is a no go for the dicks who raise chicks. I think Broughton is working with one arm behind his back. The small light I can see, is that we are at least making moves early in the window, which is a pleasant surprise. Goalscorer next please.
  13. No idea, he was ineffective like the rest of them for that first half, but Trav didn't offer much when coming on either.
  14. I do wonder if he might give us another year after this one, regardless of promotion.
  15. I don't get this dislike for Broughton amongst quarters. If memory serves, it wasn't even Waggott who hired him, it was an agency. So I'm sure there's sour grapes on that front with him not being a 'mate'. We also have Broughton to thank for JDT, we were nowhere near a managerial appointment before his arrival. With the limited time he had and a partial recruitment team already in place, if certain targets met what the new management team were looking for - prior to their arrival, then why not sign them? The 3 examples above haven't harmed. Tronstad is starting to look like a good foil in midfield, I'll concede that Sigurdsson needs to show more as does Ennis if he's ever fit and Telalovic is a stab in the dark. All the while working with one arm behind his back this summer seemingly and his second arm being prepared for this winter. He does have a red spot for me on the O'Brien front. He does however seem ambitious, just like our manager. Waggott on the other hand is seemingly happy to plod on and toe the Venky line. Does he have or show much passion for the club? Does working for Venkys inspire him? The answer to both is likely no, yet he's happy to pick up the wage. I get plenty of marketing emails telling me about half season tickets (although not the Watford game for some bizzare reason) but nothing that comes out of his mouth makes me think we'll ever find ourselves in the Premier League again, so as someone else above has alluded to, why part with my cash? The biggest problems, lie above both Broughton and Waggott. Sadly it seems like they've no intention of selling us or giving a fuck.
  16. What's he dog shit at exactly? He makes certain mistakes as any 18 year old will by being asked to be brave on the ball. Not that it says much, but he won the most tackles for us tonight and won the ball back the most.
