That was the point I was making to Neo who was questioning why a lot of players aren’t vaccinated because even if they were you’d still be having games called off left right and centre! They don’t stop the spread just helps the severity of the symptoms, I can only guess a lot of footballers would back themselves to beat the virus without being jabbed which is fair enough and is their choice. Everyone should have that choice and be able to decide for themselves if the want to be jabbed.

What difference would that make? The virus still spreads whether you’re vaccinated or not.

First half was poor, the way the ball was holding up it was so hard to play any football and we couldn’t really get anything going. Gavin Ward doing Gavin Ward things, gets in Rothwells way and then blows up and gives the ball to Preston! Unbelievable and it was nice to see Tony getting animated and showing some passion on the touch line for once! Second half the ball wasn’t holding up as much and we were able to play a bit more football, it wasn’t great but all it needed was one moment of pure quality from Khadra finished off by Diaz. Rothwell and Travis and Buckley all getting stuck in, in the middle was a joy to see and the defence was solid. Diaz ran himself into the ground. Gavin Ward again doing Gavin Ward things and denying Preston an absolute stonewall penalty. What a day finished off with a curry. Class. 👍🏻

I used to be a massive Nyambe fan and don’t get me wrong he’s a decent player but I do believe he’s replaceable and it won’t cost fortunes either. He’s big and strong and does the defensive work well but the more I’ve watched him this season the more it’s clear to me that going forward he’s pretty useless on the whole. Out of those out of contract lads he’s the one I’d have the least concern about replacing.

Whatever happened to Vinjay? He was always gold on Rovers Messageboards back in the day. Hope he’s well wherever he is 😂

That Stoke performance the worst I can remember seeing for a long time. They were beyond shit. It was a horrible scrappy game and I don’t think we were at our best but to come away with a 1-0 win away from home is an absolutely huge result. Buckley was our best player today by a mile, his drive and calmness on the ball and the ability to go past there players at ease was huge for us. Rothwell excellent before he came off also. 4th in the league you can’t not give credit to the players and even Tony for our current form. Maybe if we keep winning now, when we lose 5 on the bounce in February we might still be in the top six anyway 😂😂 COYB

In the years since we were sold to the Chicken Farmers the premier league money has sky rocketed and the world has changed a lot, Prem clubs and even some championship and league one clubs have been bought by groups from the USA, China, Russia and the Middle East. I agree we won’t be the most attractive proposition but there will be someone mad enough out there I believe if the Venkys can cut a decent deal.

For me watching United there biggest problem is centre midfield, if they had a Kante in there they’d be miles better. Fred is atrocious, Mctominay I don’t think is a top player, Matic is on his last legs and Pogba is talented of course but his form for United compared to France is mental. Greenwood, Fernandes and Rashford don’t do the dirty work either which leaves those average Centre mids even more exposed as well as Ronaldo not being able to press from the front. Maguire I don’t feel is a top top centre half and Varane has never convinced me either, they’ve spent so much money over the last few years and yet they are still miles off City Liverpool and Chelsea. Also, if you think Nyambe’s final ball is poor don’t hurt your eyes by watching Aaron Wan Bissaka trying to cross one in. Ole isn’t good enough but if a new man came in tomorrow I still don’t think they’d be pulling up any trees, not with the current bunch of players anyway.
