  1. We broke them down and got key men on the ball in the right place insisde the box. We just were poor at finishing or the final ball.
  2. We got into so many good positions and just couldn't play the right ball. That's just poor play. Armstrong was the worst culprit but Williams at the end either needs to shoot or drill it across. What was also worrying was the defensive lapses that let Boro clean through twice despite only having 10 men. It's a good result on paper but not with how the game panned out. Boro were probably the better side with 11 but we should be able to kill that off with 10. Frustrating. .
  3. Probably interest you as well as Rovers fans. From LT - Mowbray on his Boro memories
  4. Think bet365 will now legally stream this in the U.K.
  5. Revenge for denying us doing the double in 1995
  6. Burnley, Preston, Wigan or Stanley, preferably at Ewood please. Southport away if they get through their replay. Oldham (home or away) would be interesting after the excitement of their fans to playing Rovers last season. Otherwise a top 6 Prem club at Ewood.
  7. He's not been bad. He's just been lost. The closer to the goal he is, the better he looks. The two assists show me that he is direct enough to be a goal threat, as does the finish at Preston, but when he gets the ball out wide close to the halfway line he's poor. Mowbray tried this with Samuel and it appears BB is being used in the same experiment. Rgardless that is OT and I sill think Mowbray is doing a good job. It's just the nature of a football fan tbut query why he does things they don't agree with.
  8. Which, considering we have ended up with Brereton on the wing looking lost in many games, is a good question don't you think?
  9. Biggest problem in the last week was that in two games we played 90 minutes of football without a striker on the pitch. That's what many people were critical of Mowbray for. If anything, yesterday showed that criticism was justified. However, you can criticise the manager without thinking he is doing a bad job overall.
  10. Wigan at home last year but it does seem an isolated incident.
  11. You mean like dropping Danny Graham? It's notable that we were 1-0 up at Swansea and 0-0 against Sheffield united when Graham went off. We were 2-0 down when he came on against Preston. We obviously lost all games. Graham provides an outlet for the team when they are under pressure that playimg Palmer, Dack or Armstrong simply doesn't give us. When Graham doesn't play, we switch to plan B, and plan B has been proven to be not very good.
  12. Time to spend this evening durIng the championship games trying to get the sky sports app working in Germany for tomorrow night. Sky's website says I should be able to watch red button games on the app in the EU but I failed on my previous attempt.
  13. Has Cook not started spouting off yet about how they beat us to the title because that 13 point start we handed them was insurmountable. Give it another day or so and he will...
  14. There are horrors everywhere. For the third goal, Mulgrew should be clattering the ball, their striker and Reed all out of the area as they prod it in. It's almost like him and Reed left it to each other to clear.
  15. Return fixture will still kick off at 9am
  16. Just seen the Brereton 'goal' which is not offside regardless of whether Dack touches it or not (he doesn't). However that comes from another high ball into the box which DG knocks down.
  17. Just watched the sky highlights before I comment on the game as what a horror show of defending that is. The first two are decent finishes but it's so easy. Nyambe s held his hand up on Twitter for the second. Lenihan get sucked out and fails to win the ball for the opener. Despite how poor we had been, at 2-1 I fancied us to get something out of the game but Williams was rancid for the third. Had Brereton goal stood immediately after we may still have got the grandstand finish but the offside call ended any hope. I couldn't see how he could be offside at the time but it's not shown on the sky highlights so can't tell for sure. Poor, poor performance. The decision to leave Graham on the bench has been well covered. I would hope this would comprehensively end Tony's thoughts of doing it again but I'm not holding my breath.
  18. I must have missed all that as we walked up from, and back to, the Greyfriar calling in most pubs on the way and saw no trouble at all. Preston fans generally couldn't believe how bad we were after the game. Admitedly we left at about 87 minutes so didn't stick around for the final whistle. It was a good day apart from 3pm till 5pm.
  19. How can the club know this? What do you reckon the average number of tickets per order is? 3 maybe? They don't know how many in my party do or do not attend at home. Likewise they don't know if non-attendees have regular home fans going with them who they bought tickets for. Whilst I don't doubt there is a large number of people going today who don't attend at home, I don't see how the club can accurately put a figure on it.
  20. To be fair the exact quote from the LT coverage was:- "I haven't been here and felt what you've felt. The emotion of the situation, I'm trying to get to the point where we resolve it. It seems counter-productive that something they have done is keeping you away from supporting your team. "I don't feel they think that paying their £25m a year to sustain the running of the club feel they have done much wrong." Which us very different from how you have put it. Quite a diplomatic answer really.
  21. Why do £10 tickets have to be reciprocal from the other club for Rovers to run that deal as a promo?
  22. We were all talking civilly about Tesco and Asda and then this appears. Firstly, I never said you did say that did that, so check your facts right and read what I posted before you start losing it and posting in CAPS. Gumboots posted the standard Vue prices (which is just £8.99 at Bolton cinema out of interest) and I just said that I never paid that as I got special offers from Vue through various sources. The point being that Vue want to get more people attending so have a standard price and actually REDUCE it rather than increase it on the day. But for some reason you then replied to me started telling me people work midweek and also about how you don't like putting love into your life on Tuesdays and Wednesdays !! So, please, lose the attitude you unnecessarily have in the first two lines of your post as it just drags the board down. As for taking kids to night games, on of our party has taken his 6 year old lad to the QPR and Rotherham games. Do you think on a school night he should take him to Ewood and get home after 10.30 ?
  23. Eh? Not sure what relevance that has to the original point that Vue are actually doing special offers to encourage people to attend. Besides, me and the missus have been together long enough to go to the cinema to actually watch a film and not to try and cop a feel on the back row. Tuesday and Wednesday nights are a no for some people at Ewood due to working. And it's hardly an ideal game to take your kids to when they are at School in the morning. But we don't do any special offers and still charge a £3 surcharge.
  24. Not sure what point you are making there in relevance to the thread but it's £9.75 if you book it online to watch at Bolton. This includes a £0.75 online booking fee. If you turn up and pay one the day it will cost you £8.99 without the booking fee. So it's actually CHEAPER to turn up and pay on the day at Vue.
  25. Vue and Odeon also push a lot of special offers elsewhere. I get 6 free tickets per year from my bank account, and 2 for 1 tickets through Comparethemarket every Tuesday or Wednesday. We go to the cinema about 10 times a year and pay half price at most.
