  1. But when she used it at the turnstile? Trust me it happens. Same as people watching the games online for free.
  2. Luton hopefully. Although I really don’t care out of that lot, even if it’s Sunderland. Some weird bitterness around at the minute.
  3. We will have had far more walk ons than Preston probably due to performance. But (and I know I sound like a Preston fan) you have to remember they started slowly, didn’t score any goals for 3 months and never really were anything other than mid-table. If you swap seasons they would have averaged much higher that us purely due to the original number of ST sold.
  4. Depends what he is referring to. Should we have kept Mowbray on? No Way. But after 5 years, to then let his contract run down without actually telling him one way or another what is going on long term is pretty shitty (albeit not unexpected here). Of course, we may have told him we were not renewing and he was just playing "hard done by" in the media.
  5. He could play in the 2 in midfield as we currently have it. He'd have more bite and physical presence than Morton, Wharton or Buckley have had playing there. And think how many times we saw Travis in a dangerous position on the edge of the box only for him to turn round and do nothing with it. If that was JRC keep popping up there we'd be pretty dangerous.
  6. Or, as unlikely as it is because we know of many that haven't, it could be the same 9,300 have renewed but 1600 have moved seat. As you say, it only becomes clear once the deadline for moving seat is lifted.
  7. Yes that's true. Early season I was going into work on a Monday forever telling the supporters of other clubs that we had won but didn't play that well and were once again a bit lucky. I remember chatting to a supplier from Birmingham after the Birmingham game at Ewood saying we were pinned back and hanging on and lucky to escape with the 3 points. There were a few of games like that. Whereas recently Huddersfield, Coventry, Preston we definitely deserved the 3 points based on our performance but the early season fortune had forsaken us. I knew walking back to the station at Preston that what I had witnessed was the moment it had slipped. I couldn't see 6 points from the remaining 3 games and that's exactly how it panned out.
  8. On EE I'm fine once I'm in my seat, but get nothing on the concourse. My mate is on either O2 or Vodafone and he gets nothing kick off to after full time.
  9. To be fair I felt we got what we deserved at both Luton and Coventry. We only had 3 shots on target across both games. They were two of those early seasons games where we had a load of possession around our own penalty box, got caught out a few times and failed to really create much going forward. Fortunately we cut those kind of performances out in the second half of the season. As for Boro at Ewood, they had already equalised before Buckley bounced the ball off their guys bonnet. I remember because they scored that quickly in the second half I hadn't got back up to my seat. Agree with the wider point though. Had we snuck in there I wouldn't be partcilaulry fearful of any.
  10. Blackburn Rovers must give talented head coach & squad what they need | Lancashire Telegraph Firs thing I've learnt from that is that Rich Sharpe thinks 10 years is 'a generation'.
  11. Look, I'm delighted we won not just for ourselves but for all you lot that went down there. It's just my feeling watching it was that it was all a bit of after the Lord Mayors show. In the last couple of months we've just dropped in a hole whilst it has been entirely in our own hands. Forgive me for thinking that suddenly scoring a load of goals and Brereton miraculously returning to form once it is out of our hands doesn't really show bottle. It more tells me that we lacked it when we needed it. Still, they are a very young squad and they will certainly learn from the experience.
  12. It must have when we made it 3-3. I quickly flicked channels over as soon as one of our goals went in and the Sunderland players were all celebrating. It must have been as they made it 2-0.
  13. I'm leaning towards Rev on this one. The only goal I really celebrated from my settee was the Wharton equaliser as we were still in it. By the time JRC scored Sunderland had just gone 2-0 up. Had I been at The Den I would have been more emotionally invested and probably would have still wanted the victory despite the fact it was clearly going to achieve bugger all. As it was, I watched it unfold almost like a pre-season friendly where you are seeing who is playing well to pus hon for the following season. Of course I was glad they won, and took some pleasure in watching the 'raucous lion-pit' of The Den fall quiet, but the final feeling was still flat, albeit with some excitement that I do feel we are only a few signings away from a very good young side. As for @arbitro saying it dispels that we are a team of bottlers, I'm not sure it does. I'm sure the players knew the other result was conspiring against them. Had we known it was 3-0 to Preston, and then done that second half comeback, it would have been a different story. Millwall, on the other hand, for some reason decided to keep attacking us at 3-2. All season we have looked a far more dangerous team on the break than when we have had to break team down. If they had sat back they would probably have soaked us up and yet, despite leading, they kept pressing forward leaving space for us to run into. They most certainly did bottle this, starting with the way they approached that second half.
  14. Well Ben, You had a golden 6 months and probably got a Skybet odds compiler sacked. Adios.
  15. I see on twitter that at least one Rovers coach had their windows put through leaving the ground.
  16. They were excellent going forward, and Pickford had one of those games he can do now and again where he spectacularly blocks everything.
  17. I wasn’t being negative. I just knew with the players we had available and the formation we kept playing that we wouldn’t get enough wins in the last few games to get us over the line. I said that after the Birmingham game. That’s not negative thoughts. That’s being able to asses the situation and come to a rational opinion on what I think will happen without being blinded by emotion or desire. Now I didn’t foresee the bad luck we would have, but nor did I foresee the other teams slipping meaning a record low of 69 points would be enough. However the accusations of me being negative were unfounded because missing out on the top 6 is what actually happened.
  18. He hadn’t cleverly built his reputation on sexy possession based football though.
  19. And you don’t think anybody else will be interested in them? Im actually agreeing that they would be good signings. That’s why I don’t think we will get them. BtW, you know all them people you said were just being negative regarding us finishing outside the top 6. They were all right. You just couldn’t tell the difference between negativity and realism.
  20. Way too early to comment. I’ll see what the summer brings as to whether I’m feeling positive or apprehensive. Hopefully GB and the others can make up for shafting us in Jan and recruit well.
  21. Graham Potter (finished 10th at Swansea) Luton we’re only 9th when Nathan Jones left for Southampton this season.
  22. Carvalhal was in the bottom half when he went to Swansea.
  23. Fat Frank finished 6th and got the Chelsea gig !!! Dean Smith finished 9th and got the Villa job.
  24. Yes. I reckon if we were in for them other decent Championship teams would be as well as they are higher profile then who we usually go for. One is now a Scotland regular, and the other who was quite highly touted as a youngster has just had his best scoring season. Who do you think we have signed in the last few years who have been higher profile than these two?
