  1. Who dived in on the halfway line for the 2nd? That started it all.
  2. 3-1 done. Great finish for 3rd from outside the box, in off the post. Keeper had no chance.
  3. Gutted to concede. Relieved to still have 11 on the pitch mind.
  4. You need to download and login to the ifollow app. Seperate to where you buy it. I think.....that's what I do.
  5. ?? Don't think you're factoring in 2nd half subs - SG, Evans, and Bell. ??
  6. They say it's the hope that kills you. And I've got a lot of hope after seeing that team.
  7. So frustrating. And doesn't help to dispell the notion that sometimes we aren't the most well prepared, professional outfit. I'll be honest, I'd never heard of Sarr before yesterday. Not popped up on my radar. But having done my research since I can see he was MOTM last December when they beat Man U 2-0 with one newspaper stating "A Sarr is born." So it was hardly a secret. And we seemed to have zero plan to deal with it.
  8. My biggest problem with yesterday: A few weeks ago it was said Cardiff nullified us by having a plan and doubling up on Dolan to plug that outlet. No offence intended, but in reality, Dolan is still a no-mark free transfer from a mid table Championship club. Yesterday we were up against, I assume, the most expensive winger in the League at 30 million. What was our plan to counteract this? As far as I saw, it was to play an incredibly high defensive line (pretty much halfway line), and leave Sarr 1 on 1 with the weakest member of our back 4. And repeatedly let him run at said defender.....in space.....without giving any assistance. And then everyone appeared shocked with the predictable results this tactic produced. I'm fine with Rovers adopting this high line, high press approach in general. It's exciting to watch and will help us win games over the season. But you have to adapt to your opponents, and yesterday, that tactic played right into Watford's hands.
  9. Counts for sod all but our opponents were impressed by us: Blackburn certainly the best team we've played this season .. I thought Blackburn were good and deserved a draw. Blackburn will definitely be in the playoff picture come the end of the season .. I'd be surprised if Blackburn aren't among the playoff mix come the end of the season.. Played off the park. How the **** did we win that game ? I was impressed with the ball retention and passing of Blackburn. However, was very impressed with how comfortable Blackburn looked in possession. Armstrong was a menace all night and Holtby was very good for them. I do really hope that Blackburn are around the playoffs though a very exciting team to watch. Thought Blackburn were the better team in gameplay For the record there's plenty negative comments on there too - (mainly about how, despite the posession, we're fairly toothless up front, and how weak and vulnerable our defence is) - but I needed cheering up so went with glass half full instead.
  10. Probably Tony. He'll need time to bed in and learn our system.
  11. Nice run by Brereton. He's growing on confidence. I still have hope for him. I've thrown in the towel on SG.
  12. When did the laws change so u could stand on top of every free kick to stop it being played early. Used to be a yellow card not so long ago. Did I miss a meeting?
  13. 21st October 2014: My wife was rushed into hospital for an emergency C-section due to a potentially dangerous placental abrasion. After a crazy few hours, I was dumped in a room with a newborn baby girl in my arms while the medics stitched her up. Dazed and confused, I sat there wondering how I was gonna look after this wrinkly alien, and then a thought popped in my head - We're playing tonight! Cradling the alien in one arm like a rugby ball, I shifted in my seat and fished into my pocket for my phone. It's HT, 0-0 against Birmingham. A midwife came in to check on things, scowled at me pissing about on my phone, and promptly left in silent disapproval. Within minutes, everything started going our way. Ben Marshall scored, Brum had a player sent off, and we went on to win the game 1-0 (by which time my wife had been wheeled in like a drugged up zombie from the epidural). I looked down at my newborn and thought - You're a good luck charm you! Bear in mind we'd kept 2 clean sheets in 14 before that day. And it was 9 matches following before we kept another. Since then we've had 2 more matches on 21st October, 0-0 Derby 2015, 3-0 Portsmouth 2017. So the overall record for my good luck charm reads played 3 matches, Rovers 4 goals, opponents 0. Which is fairly impressive considering the teams defensive abilities over that period. If the run continues, hopefully we win tomorrow, and we win to nil. The last time we beat Watford away? Which was to nil too (0-1). Feb 2001, the season we got promoted to the Premier League. Summary: Win tomorrow and I will be hopeful of us getting promoted. Win to nil tomorrow and I will be 100% convinced we're getting promoted. Lose tomorrow and my daughter is immediately getting booted out the house as she will no longer be of any use to me........
  14. It's really beginning to put me off the sport. Last 10 years or so seems to have got worse and worse. You've got sports like rugby union, cricket, rugby league and football (yeah I know) trying to use technology to make the games as fair as possible. Then you have public, live streamed fraud occurring on boxing. Awful.
  15. Ah, was wondering that. I've just looked at total list. Christ, do I have to go back even further?! Nah, can't be arsed. But you can have some ??? for being so accurate on 14 yr old transfers.
  16. I reckon on paper, factoring in the potential improvement, this could be our best window since 2006/7 when we signed: Benni McCarthy, Chris Samba, Stephen Warnock, Khizanishvili, David Dunn (back), and Andre Ooijer. Basically, last time I was this excited, Dolan and Elliot were still watching Teletubbies.
  17. The Leeds stats are insane this season. Top the Prem charts in just about everything- tackling, pressing, ball recovery etc. Gotta be the hardest working team in the Country at the moment. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/12867725/leeds-top-tacklers-premier-league-records/amp/
  18. It's some decline. Warp speed. He was the new messiah about 12 months ago.
