  1. In the last 25 years, Wales have got as far as us, as many times as us, in major tournaments. i.e. 1 semi final! Our last 3 competitive games v Scotland reads - 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss. We're hardly the world beaters we think we are sometimes. And knowing our special talent of bottling it in Tournaments when we're expected to win, I envisage a dodgy VAR penalty and sending off, a Scotland win, and Nicola Sturgeon to spontaneously combust in the corporate bar at Wembley............So, every cloud I guess.. 🤷‍♂️
  2. A little dramatic. I think that's what gives me hope with this squad. We aren't a 1 or 2 player team. We don't have to do front page scans of Rooney or Beckham's metatarsal. It's mental remembering that if u think about it. We were pinning all our hopes on 1 player out of 11. The odds formula is horrific.
  3. Yeah, Grealish all day long over Lingard. Assuming he's over the injury. I'm just not convinced by Sancho in an England shirt, although I always caveat that with I haven't seen much of him in Bundesliga. Forgot about Watkins, he's looked very good recently. Tin hat on, but I'd have Lingard over Rashford in a heartbeat at the moment. Talk to any United fan and they'll say MR has been off it for ages. Burnt out? Carrying an injury? Distracted by off field issues? Take your pick. But he certainly isn't performing like the player he was a year or 2 ago. Perhaps I'm just a sucker for a comeback story, but I think JL had a lot to offer us this tournament, and had earnt a place in the squad. Bit gutted for him, as it could well have been last chance saloon. Shame.
  4. I'm fairly disappointed with this tbh. I thought the one thing Southgate shouted about when he got the gig was that it would all be about form, not just the usual suspects. I think the exact opposite of the above tweet. In 2021, Jesse has been one of the best performing English midfielders. (I'd probably put him 3rd behind Foden + Mount). Why shouldn't that earn him a place in the tournament. And if we end up chasing a game with 20 mins to go, and we all look at the bench for someone to come on and change the game, and fail to see viable options, I'm going to be extremely pissed off. I reckon he'd be perfect for such an occasion.
  5. Rashford had an absolute stinker in the final tonight. It's only 1 game, but he has been inconsistent for a bit, and I'd be disappointed if he's a mainstay in the team this tournament.
  6. I seem to remember you disagree, but I'd like Grealish in for Sterling. Scare the hell out of teams that attack. Use Raheem the last 20/30 mins, his pace against a tiring defence more effective. I just wanna get Grealish in the team basically, really rate him. Don't think Southgate will though, too maverick for him.
  7. This is such a telling stat. Glad it's not all in my head. You doubt yourself sometimes. I swear we could all become millionaires if we just bet on the other team every time Rovers get within 3pts of top 6.
  8. True, but they are worth about $200 million together. Not sure it's a show that's going to make a significant boost in earnings. Feels like a passion project. Seems like they're really trying to connect with the locals: "Reynolds and McElhenney have already endeared themselves to the North Wales town with donations to foodbanks, delivering gin to local pubs and paying to convert a disabled fan’s bathroom." And apparently Rob has learnt the Welsh national anthem quite accurately. Good stuff, yeah, good luck to them. I'll probably watch.
  9. I really can't get my head round this one. What do these multimillionaire successful actors want with a club that plays a sport they don't know, thousands of miles from where they live. 🤔🤔 But I think I kind of like it. With all the crappy owners out there in all levels of football, I hope these 2 turn out to be good ones, and good luck to the Wrexham fans, hopefully they're in for a hell of a ride. Can't wait to see Blake Lively having pie and gravy in the stands.
  10. Chelsea fans will blame a loss on Timo Werner.
  11. I really wish he'd stop telling me it's not 1995. Do you see people wandering the streets listening to Oasis on their Sony Discman's Tony?! It's insulting that he thinks we're stuck in some sort of timewarp. I think most Rovers fans are reasonable and fully aware of the club's current standing in the football heirarchy. And the form we showed in the 2nd half of the season would be deemed unacceptable by pretty much any of the 92 football clubs, regardless of what they might have been doing quarter of century ago. His deflection tactics don't wash with me. He's always desperate to talk about the past or the future, because both can be manipulated. How about we deal with the present Tony, the here and now. Because that picture is looking grim as hell.
  12. He's just a little pest, constantly buzzing around being a nuisance, trying to slap balls out of scrum half's hands. Makes me chuckle. I flicked over last weekend and saw he launched himself into a ruck like a human cannonball. 😂😂 An inch or so the wrong way and it's probably a red now, but you can't argue with his commitment. Leaves it all out on the pitch.
  13. Love watching Faf de Klerk play. I'll be hoping he gets squashed in the Lions tour though. Will no doubt boss us.
  14. Sorry, collateral damage. You've been caught by the shrapnel once people crossed the line and started calling each other names. Note to people: Please act civilly and stop calling each other names and then DeeCee won't be left wondering where posts have disappeared to.
  15. Actually gave me a chuckle. Well, good luck in your quest to conquer Mordor or whatever the hell it is you're doing. I don't think I have the energy, inclination, or intellect to solve the riddles. 😜
  16. Sounds like something Florentino Perez would say.
  17. 🤔🤔 You've either got short term memory loss, or are purposely acting up. While I'm at it, for someone who claims to want to unite the Rovers fanbase, you sure are employing an odd tactic. I don't think patronising people, spinning weird riddles, and basically treating folk like they're dirt on your shoe is really the way to encourage everyone to board the bandwagon.
  18. Which is a more likely to happen? TM leaving or being treated to a few paragraphs? 🤔 I get the feeling both are pipe dreams. 😜 You're bang on in what you say though, passionate and from the heart. Sad to see so many disillusioned fans. Then infuriating when people have the gall to call us spoilt for feeling that way. Couldn't be further from the truth the crap we've put up with this last decade.
  19. Finally in mine but with no sound. Will get to see the silky skills for the last half hour.
  20. The Real Madrid boss is going to look like a dick after his comments earlier today. He was giving it the billy big potatoes..... none of you can stop it or punish us! Now everyone drops out hours later including the 2 Spanish rivals potentially. Oooops. 😀
  21. Virgin have cocked up the red button again. Don't know if to be happy or sad about it. Might have to watch Chelsea instead.
  22. Quick look at a Spurs messageboard and interesting to see over 90% of them against it. A few even saying they would stop supporting the club just like Neville. https://thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/spurs-elite-clubs-to-announce-european-super-league-uefa-threatens-ban-full-details-in-op.40642/
  23. Elliott with a dedication to the Hillsborough victims on his T shirt there. I'd forgotten it was the anniversary yesterday.
  24. Championship game on Sky the other day commentator said: "The Swansea management team say they aren't interested in possession stats, only how many times the attack breaks the lines and gets in behind. That's the only numbers they care about" It caused me to weep a little.
