Barnsley v Rovers, Wed 17th Feb
Silas replied to JPTSwindon's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If the commentator was right earlier and this stays the same, Mowbray has lost 6 out 7 matches at Oakwell. He'll have an 85% loss record......at Barnsley!! -

Singing that in my head just now is the most fun I've had in hour and half. -

We fell asleep twice there. For a free kick and throw in. Great alertness for 30 mins in. ๐ -

What are you listening to right now?
Silas replied to TzuyuShing's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
It did not disappoint. Never heard of them, had a skip through, love that 1st track, right up my street. Will explore more. Bit cheesy, but the first 45 mins of this mix have kept me sane these last 6 months. Always lifts my spirits and puts a smile on my face: -
Apathy mode has been fully activated for me. This is what our season has now been reduced to. Hoping to get one over local rivals for bragging rights. Don't get me wrong, I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it! But in the grand scheme of things it will mean nowt in terms of the league. And how often have we performed well when live on Sky? Basically never. 1-1 draw. We gave it a right good go. ๐

Happy to bow to his superior knowledge. I'm no connissuer. But it's a great bottle of white for that price next time you're after one. -

I'm willing to lay blame for many, many things at TM's door. This one, however, I take full ownership of. -

As entertainment levels go, there probably won't be much in it. -

You're dead right! A load of them go metres past the posts too. ๐ It's not just about the shots themselves though is it, it's about what's going on around him. If all that's on is a shot, fair dos, but if players have busted a gut to get free in the box, different matter. People quote about good strikers being greedy, but if you take Harry Kane for instance, he's always aware of his teammates and gets lots of assists. Just saying, if Arma wants to get to next level (with or without us), that's what he needs to work on. But I'm being hyper critical, it's what fans do surely. Because we know that's what will make the team better, and could be the difference between success and failure. -

I agree with your post, but those players would probably have way more than 4 goals if Arma wasn't blasting 30 yard glory shots half a dozen times a match, when not only 1, but often 2 players are in way better positions waiting to be played in. Let's not get sidetracked by one good ball in today that no one had gambled on. On AA in general, it's great he's in our team. Scores goals, gets players sent off, is fairly versatile, and very importantly for me, he stops teams pushing up too much as they're terrified of the pace on the break. Helps our tactics and gameplay. We now have 2 anchor points of great talent in the team, TK at the back, and AA up front. Not a bad framework to build around. Keep up these additions in defense, and I reckon we could go places. -

I enjoyed that too. Who does he sound a bit like? It's been bugging me. Is it Rio Ferdinand? -

You are wrong! It'll be a massive deflection or a dodgy penalty. ๐ -

Away commentary is working. Just no home at moment. -
Moebrau, I like it! Is he from the same manager school as Allardicio?!

Silas replied to Ulrich's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yeah, but did you see the long chats he had with Boro players about it. If he was chatting specifics with them, he can't change back on match report. Unless he was saying- sorry, I didn't see it. Doubt that though. May escape a ban I think because of the daft rules. -

You don't need to tell us about eye injuries: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11676/12012501/corry-evans-blackburn-midfielders-injury-was-similar-to-car-accident-or-hammer-impact But both were accidental, it happens in sport unfortunately. You were diddled out of the pen today, possibly a red, but again it happens, not sure you're going to get much sympathy on that front here. We've got away with nailed on penalties against Boro, and Millwall, which both helped earn us the 3pts on the day. But I could name you about half a dozen decisions that have gone against us this season that cost us points. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Good luck to your lad on his recovery, unlucky today, tough call, good luck for rest of season. Hope we meet you in the playoff final, we get a dodgy 89th min penalty to win, and Warnock spontaneously combusts on the sideline. ๐๐๐๐
