I agree, relegation can't be put on Mowbray's head. But I was just about to say similar to Gumboots. What about now? If we fail to reach his target of top 6 (and imo we will miss it by a country mile), will he have "failed" then?

Thanks for heads up. Didn't know that. Will probably watch first few hours. Despite our owners I'm going team India. No better sight than a frustrated aussie when a cricket match starts slipping away. 😀 Been chippy this test series too right. I'll be trying to listen in on the stump mics.

The problem being if time marches on, and things get progressively worse, then this sentiment can get eroded away. I truly hope that doesn't happen, as I agree with you, he's a decent bloke that has done some good things, and deserves to be appreciated for that. But barring a remarkable turnaround and barnstorming 2nd half of the season, if TM's reign continues into next season, I do fear how sour it could become. I really don't want our best manager of the last decade to become universally disliked by the fans. It would be particularly galling considering he has stated he would never allow that to happen. There comes a time he has to be true to his words. That line in the sand surely can't be far off.

Ha, nope, I'm not that arrogant..... not always anyway. 😉 I trusted the commentators judgement, they obviously had a replay angle we didn't. Was more they were making out it was miles onside, and a few of us thought off instantly from our angle. I still haven't seen the other angle tbh. Was it miles on? Or was it one of those split second calls that we all scream about, but let's be honest are often very hard for linos to get right consistently. Put it this way, I was screaming at JR to release the ball, and felt he dwelt too long. Maybe that clouded my judgment. 🤷♂️ -

Is there any free managers at the agency better than Mowbray? Please God tell me there's some managers on their books better than TM. 🤞🤞 -

Me too. They say it's not even close on their replay. Odd -

If Stoke stop that Rovers team from scoring again I'm giving up. So much potential in the starting lineup. If the new defender can help stop goals at the back, we could all be happy by 5pm. 🤞 -

If we don't win this game I'm moving up a level to the Mowbray out, out camp. -

Hi everyone, I'm hiding posts thick and fast, so we're all just wasting each others time really. Whilst I appreciate people are angry and frustrated after yesterday, taking it out on fellow fans isn't the answer. You've got the manager, the players, the owners, and many more involved at the club to go at if you're looking for someone to blame for our predicament. But attacking other fans (in both directions) isn't acceptable on here. Can we please calm that side of things down a bit. Thanks. -
I think most people are, but there comes a time when taking that risk outweighs stagnating under TM.

😯😯😯 Wow! Thanks. Better crack a Sat night beer to console myself. Can't see any way back for him now, unless he wins like 3 or 4 on bounce.

Glad it's not just me. After spending 15 mins with the site on go slow/crashing, have given up. -
Congrats Mike. Some good news in 2021 at last. Enjoy paternity leave. Give you time to get through Cobra Kai 3 right.

Didn't know that. Long term tho? All season? He hasn't started a game this season surely, after playing 40+ last year. Hell of a drop off that, which usually results in a full on tantrum. -

Oh, I agree on that. All footballers should be banned throughout their career full stop. "But you can't tell them what to do in their free time!" is the argument. Why not? They're stopped from drinking, clubbing, eating bad foods etc etc. That's all in their free time. what difference is staying off a toxic social media site. I'd have it written into every contract. -

Exactly tho DE, so what does that say about the turds that do. The ones that drag the team down even from the sidelines. Boils my blood. You're right, the very least you should expect from someone being paid handsomely to do "nothing", is their support. Just the reality is, that's often not the case. Don't even start me on Danny Murphy's wife (ex)!! 🤬🤬 -

Or alternatively..... nice to see a player that has (quite rightly) been booted out the squad, not sulk and spit his dummy out, but show full support to the people that are playing, and genuine joy at their success. Rare thing I'd say in a modern professional footballer. Good on him. Not his fault the team that does play has been awful for ages. -

Rovers have been good for that bet for years now. Like you say, not a great place to be if you want promotion. Interestingly, our odds of a win have shortened overnight (2.15 down to 2.05). Who the hell is lumping on us for a win?! @Mercer? 😀 You can get 1.77 on Brum not to lose. That's where the value is for me. Sadly. -
Sincere condolences and RIP for those loved ones you lost in 2020. I hope 2021 brings you much well-deserved and long overdue joy and happiness. Good luck on the job front, keep grinding and I'm sure you'll get your chance. 🤞 Happy New Year everyone! Stay safe, well, and happy.

I, and many others, wanted him out in Aug 2019 because a pattern was emerging. He's had 16 months since then, a fair crack of the whip, there's been a few rays of light, some false dawns, but ultimately we're not going forward. Unlike others I actually fairly rate TM's transfer business on the whole. Some exciting progress in attack. But come matchday, I've lost total confidence in him having a winning team on the pitch. I think someone else could do better on that front. I also think someone Venky's would appoint "could" do better. And if it was my decision I'd be willing to roll the dice and find out.

Not sure it's a pen, but if it's in our box, the ref wouldn't be able to get the whistle to his mouth fast enough.
-
The space is there on the counter today. Supposedly our forte. Can't be any excuses about a team parking the bus. It's there to be won if we play our cards right.

I'm with you, I'm laying the whole season on this match. Win and I'll hold hope, draw or lose and I'll give up looking at the top half of the table. Makes no sense to put so much on 90mins of football, but I can't help how I feel.
