  1. We're going up as f***** champions!
  2. A great win and richly deserved. I was so relieved to see Kaminski, Armstrong and Johnson back. Well done TM and the team! Is that the 4th/5th different centre- half pairing in just a few games? I am not watching the league table, so much as the distance we are from the playoffs. Really hoping the absence jinx does not continue and we can get some selection consistency after the break..( famous last words) I have totally given up on Evans and Gallagher and we have the players-if they remain fit- to ensure these two have delighted us for long enough! Our squad is better than it has been for years. The last time we had a really good squad, it was wasted by Bowyer's inexperience...
  3. Wonderful...Love it!!!!
  4. Maybe the injured players would just have to touch his garments!
  5. Patience certainly is running thin in our house. The performance the other night was dreadful, apart-ironically-from the defence. Does the fact that my patience is running thin mean that I should diagnose Covid-19 absences and injuries to Kaminski, Travis and Johnson etc , as somehow psychological and only happening because we have an uninspiring manager? I am not so sure.
  6. There were 3 passionate Rovers fans, working in Rochdale Social Services in the early 80's. It was great to see a picture of the famous blue and whites in pride of place on the office wall!
  7. OMG..agony indeed! My own was between staying to the end or catching the early bus. The later bus meant missing a connection and being late back to the institution and the risk of being listed to be missing from my desk at study time. That meant the cane plus...well the equivalent of the strap on steroids... One reason why my head was f*****, when you first met me....
  8. Yes, I have worried about all those things. However, I am not sure he could have done much about any of the 6(!) goals conceded, since Tommy K was injured. Mind you, I haven't analysed other things like his general command and control of his area...
  9. Though everythin' is broken, there are happy clappers there
  10. It's almost as if you think Rovers will never progress with these owners lol
  11. It matters not because we won't win the games!
  12. And if we do,... I would willingly do a lot worse with said donkey..
  13. Essay question 25 marks “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” Samuel Beckett Review the CV's and contributions to Blackburn Rovers of the following: Steve Kean, Eric Black, Michael Appleton, Henning Berg, Gary Bowyer, Paul Lambert Owen Coyle and Tony Mowbray. Estimate the success/failure of the club's manager recruitment strategy since 2011. What evidence can you present that the same recruiters will secure a successful manager in the future?
  14. I guess that is the point. Why commit himself to a club, which has never competed at the business end of the Championship, ever since Venky's took us down?.
  15. Absolutely. It is so frustrating, when key players "disappear" at the last minute. Rovers Covid issues do seem to have come, when other players are out injured. As for all clubs having such problems, of course, it does not happen on an equal basis, where our opponents have similar issues at the same time that we do. I think there is so much frustration building here, that fans are now punishing Mowbray for events that are not his fault.
  16. I'd even go with 6 subs to leave Evans out!
  17. Yes, Chris Brown, Richard Brown, Goodwillie, Darren Collier, Paul McKinnon..oh and Myles Anderson etc....but the general thrust of alcd's post stands..Evans has contributed very little in his time here and my heart sinks, whenever he is on the team sheet.
  18. Oh, one does sound so very certain!
  19. I agree. Although there has been lots of stuff on Facebook about "haters" etc, I think most fans have been anxious about his performances, but have been willing him to do well.. Fair play to him for the weekend. He just needs to score a few goals now..
  20. Have you? Well, EB, knowing you, as I do, I am shocked (in the Claude Rains sense)
  21. God, he was brilliant! I do have to confess I did have a little wince-only momentarily-at 16 years old, when my mate's Claret father proudly told me of JP's history. Ah, but I was so much older then etc.....
  22. I loved Johnny Price above all of them!
