  1. Except that it was known in some football circles, even before the takeover was complete that Big Sam was a goner and Kean would be appointed. Remember Andy Cole's article -"a little bird told me"..?
  2. Givet lol...Warrior? hahaha...Takes more than a fcking beard!
  3. Oops..It does on mine too. I have just noticed....but that was years ago! FK how to change it lol
  4. Yes, Mick's "cauldron of hate" was more like a bowl of lukewarm cabbage water. But cauldrons are coming...
  5. I guess the only thing we can hope for is that "a bunch of southern softies" won't fancy a cold, rainy night in the North West.
  6. I have no inside knowledge, but that is the clear implication of his recent comments.
  7. I agree. I think the length of time it has taken and its tameness, is because they know what TM has done for us in the past. Not many of his predecessors would have had such a period of grace, given his dire efforts in the transfer market and such awful performances over such a long period.
  8. A very anxious time.....again! Well, from his own comments, it certainly looks like TM is nearing the end. Which of us has any confidence that the owners will recruit a proper manager to take the team forward? Expecting the Cairney, Hanley, Duffy scenario soon. Maybe, TM is as well. I am so sick of the way this club is being run.
  9. The truth is that Bowyer might have been a decent bloke, but he was very lucky to have got such a job in the first place. He simply never had the CV..
  10. Agreed. A part of me would like the inevitable crisis to come sooner, rather than later. At least, then we can start building rather than this dying by a thousand cuts. All our current pain and discomfort is the "pointless" pain before the operation. At least, the post -op pain will be on the journey back to recovery.... There is no football point to the current Rovers. Too many players seem recruited for "investment" reasons, while there are huge gaps on the pitch... A slow, lingering death. FOV!!
  11. Winter has been here for 8 years. It is football's equivalent of Narnia. No sign of Aslan either!
  12. Character building for your children? My eldest saw Rovers win the title in his second season. Another long-suffering supporter advised me to inform my lad that we had missed out at the death...... and keep the truth from him for 20 years!
  13. Glad you don't work for the Parole Board haha. Learning from mistakes? Let's look at two early ones. 1 2012 Dismantling infrastructure/ board of directors, manned by people with experience and genuine football know-how..... 2019- Is the situation fit for purpose? 2 2012 Allowing introduction of new player purchase policy based on considerations, other than on- field requirements........2019 Ben Brereton?...Defenders are coming etc. I could go on, but reports of their learning from mistakes are...greatly exaggerated.
