  1. Provoking, but a good point imo. I think most Rovers fans feel more powerless than ever. There is no fight left in the fanbase-partly a result of being worn down by the events, since 2010. This is a slow, lingering death. If and when the Venky's do pull the plug, there will be even fewer people, who will be even more worn down. A deliberate strategy?

  3. Imagine being so routinely shit. Sick of it. Hardly laid a glove on them...
  4. Model owners/current club infrastructure: discuss ....
  5. For what it's worth, I stood in for someone at a meeting a few months ago and this Greg Lawrenson seemed to be an intelligent guy with a good analysis.
  6. Didn't The Trust also deal with Anderson? ( wasn't he working for both sides?) This was well after concerns in the football world about his dealings with Shinawatra's Man City. Even I had heard of him by then...
  7. Well, watching Rovers is a bit like going to see Picnic at Hanging Rock...only even less happens!
  8. Well, even Rovers replaced Steele..... with Raya! I guess my point is that Raya is no yardstick. A team with any ambition needs a stronger, less error-prone keeper than Raya, but we have probably downgraded.
  9. It is like trying to choose between Hitler and Stalin or Johnson and Trump. Pointless. Steele, Raya and Walton are all shit.
  10. But for too long Rovers defenders (and fans) have had to experience frequent unforced howlers that leave them feeling completely undermined. Compare Walton, Raya, Steele and Kean to the likes of Roger Jones, Jim Arnold, Terry Gennoe etc at the same league level. Just like the V's choice of managers, our choice of goalkeepers is yet another stark example of dumbing down, make do and mend. I am just sick of it.
  11. The general pattern is for highly inexperienced novices, who are glad to get an opportunity and compliant. Coyle's managerial reputation was in tatters, long before he arrived here. There was a time, when we kept losing our managers to top-flight teams. That was only because we were very clever at recruiting them-Furphy, Lee, Smith, Kendall and Mackay were known, competent managers. Don was the only one, who did not get "poached". Compare that list with Kean, Coyle, Berg, Appleton, Bowyer etc.. Yet they keep asking us to believe that they want promotion. Bollux!
  12. What an ignorant, puerile response! Are you a Venky's employee or payee?
