  1. Our current manager publicly stated he doesn't believe in formations.
  2. You can probably put Brown in the squad instead of Pike (but the official site haven't bothered to list Brown as a player), but here is a visual representation of what we have before signings based on who we are expecting to go...... The new manager better hope he gets some money from a potential Brereton sale......
  3. If the person making the choices has previously chosen Owen Coyle.......
  4. Well going off the HSH list that someone previously reported on here - the shortlist is likely to look something like this: Mark Robins Tony Pulis Micky Mellon Dave Challinor Rob Edwards
  5. I was just joking about this with the Father-in-Law 😂 You'd put nothing past this lot.
  6. You can't say it's not true with 100% certainty. I can't say it is true either - just a story someone told me. The meeting would have been kept hush hush anyway.
  7. I'd heard stories of Dalglish being involved in meetings with Jack Walker at Bill Fox's house before he even left Liverpool. How true that is, I don't know.
  8. If the club know he's going - which they seemingly do - then they should definitely have a shortlist in place. You see how quickly clubs replace their managers after sacking them. It must be commonplace for clubs to speak to potential replacements while the soon to be departing manager is still employed. Wasn't Dalglish still employed by Liverpool when we first approached him?
  9. I went through the names on the betting and the top couple looked good options - then it went fairly depressing I'd be happy with Ainsworth, Farke from the list Bet Victor have - and pretty much none of the others. It's probably a less inspiring list than normal - and it's not usually a great list of names. I'd obviously take Dyche, but can't see it happening.
  10. Did you see the Netflix documentary on Sunderland? There were scenes when he was speaking in front of the team and the players looked really bored. He didn't come across as very inspiring at all.
  11. There's no need for that 😂
  12. He's signed for Leeds - although he had a seizure when out walking with his son this week, so his return has been delayed.
  13. They weren't preserving the culture of the club when they took a chance on him after his drugs bans....especially when he was involved in another police incident just after starting training with the club.
  14. If you go off this (and this was the end of the season, so I've averaged it out and deducted a year) - the Premier League winning squad had an average age of 24.8 years old at the start of the season.
  15. Let's just look at the positives. In the last 12 months - we've twice scored five goals in a match. Keith Stroud was the referee both times.
  16. Just had a look on transfermarket - and we've got the 8th youngest squad in the football league. Wycombe have the oldest at 29.3, Burnley the second oldest at 28.9. Liverpool are 6th oldest at 27.7 and Man City 18th oldest at 27 (I've listed those two as by far the best sides) Barnsley are the youngest side at 23.1 and we're 8th youngest at 24.1. Only Barnsley (bottom of the Championship), AFC Wimbledon (22nd in league one), Scunthorpe United (bottom of league two), Lincoln City (18th in league one), Swindon (8th in league two), MK Dons (3rd in league one) and Doncaster (23rd in league one) have younger squads than us. Swindon and MK Dons aside - all those with sides younger than Rovers are struggling. I'm not Mowbray's biggest fan - but this is a young side. There are definitely times this season when we could have done with an experienced head at centre half (that wasn't hospital bound) or in midfield (that wasn't Johnson).
  17. That is pretty young. Not a single player in his 30's (Used sub ages in red):
  18. Well I work in Preston and the first conversation I had with anyone this morning went: Me: Good Morning! 😄 Them: F&%$ Off! Lovely stuff 🤣
  19. Someone posted on another thread that Mowbray + Waggott = Maggot Which is exactly why we shouldn't bring Farke in.
  20. Everton definitely aren't going down, as their website confirms their season tickets will remain amongst the most competitive in the Premier League next season.....
  21. The bit I'm referring to is at 5:00 minutes. I've not watched the full thing.
  22. If you look at the form table for the last 15 games.... Forest (top of it) have 33 points - scoring 32 goals and conceding 9 Rovers (bottom of it) have 11 points - scoring 8 goals and conceding 15. So in just 15 games - they've got 22 more points than Rovers and their goal difference has improved by 30 compared to ours. Amazing what a proper manager can do. Cooper will be a top manager.
  23. The original 'false nine' 😂 If he was here longer, he might have given Nyambe a run for his money on games without a goal.
  24. Didn't see if this was posted elsewhere or not. Did anyone see the clip of Jon Parkin and Chris Brown in with the Stoke fans? Chris Brown was singing "Your support is $%£$ing shit" at the Rovers fans. He was also asked which stands he used to get abuse from......."All of them" 😂
