  1. Probably some kind of massive gambling syndicate that can fly under the radar when we're not in the top flight. Would explain some of these terrible runs we go on.
  2. Forgot that one. Edinho Jr was the worst of them for me. Maceo Rigters level of quality.
  3. Carlos Carvalhal as manager Pears Orr Nuno Henrique Daniel Ayala Sam Gallagher Petrovic Sacha Petshi Fabio Nunes Koita Nuno Gomes Edinho Junior I realise this is unrealistic. Daniel Ayala won't be fit.
  4. Just looked at the managers win percentages of anyone appointed since 1960 (blue ones are Venky's managers). Dalglish unsurprisingly top - but he had the backing. Ray Harford - top coach, but did a very poor job with the squad he inherited. Mark Hughes - what a top job he did and a wonderful time to be a Rovers fan. Roy Hodgson - considering he spent a fortune and his reputation, he was a disaster after that first season. All in all, of the 28 names on the List - Venky's were responsible for 5 of the bottom 9 (win % wise). I realise it's all relative and it's not a completely fair comparison, but I've not much faith in them getting this appointment right either.
  5. Although he has stated himself the wants to be playing Championship football next season having done time in League One - he believes he's ready for the step up.
  6. We loaned 6 in and 8 out last season. It'll be similar again.
  7. Should absolutely not be letting him go, purely on the basis of how much the Portsmouth fans rave about him. Would save us buying at least one defender.
  8. Works better with the picture.
  9. You let Aynsley play in goal?!?!?!!? https://i.pinimg.com/236x/2a/88/48/2a884874a0cd7151e4d2b5e80b20de64.jpg
  10. I'd assume that to be correct and get your point.
  11. I remember an interview after his last game as caretaker manager at United where he announced he was leaving the club. He was saying something about needing a break from football at that point (IIRC). I wouldn't be surprised if Lancs Live are just using comments from that.
  12. I would certainly not think that was the case. He's said that he's made the choice to do it. He's not a high profile name for the papers to be threatening to out him. There must be much higher profile gay footballers that presumably people within the game know about.
  13. You'd also assume the potential £15m coming in would be in instalments as well.
  14. The odds make me laugh on Skybet: Michael Appleton - 20/1 (Surely he's not done anything since leaving here to justify another go) Rob Edwards - 25/1 (Hasn't he just got the Watford job?) Sam Allardyce - 33/1 (This would seem fairly unlikely)
  15. They sold Matty Cash for £16m and Arvin Appiah for £8 in that time.
  16. 100/1 with Skybet last time I looked. Same price as Arsene Wenger.
  17. I saw an article this morning suggesting Mark Warburton would be a solid appointment. I don't want a solid appointment. I want high risk/high reward. A solid appointment is never going to get us promoted. We need to take a chance if we ever want to go up.
  18. I was wondering this as well. Don't know a lot about the guy, but he appears to have had 19 different jobs, only 3 of which have lasted more than 50 games. His successes all seem to have been in Portugal and nothing particularly outstanding when he's been at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea.
  19. The BBC reporting that he's signed a contract for the 2022-23 season. Someone in the comments said it should have read: 20:22 - 20:23
  20. We're all hoping for a Farke, Ainsworth or a Dyche.... Then the Hodgson/Judan Ali joint management team gets appointed.
