  1. The Beatles - Baby’s In Black
  2. Many congratulations Joe. Hearts is a terrific football club with incredibly passionate fans, a few of whom I have worked with over the years. If your role necessitates moving to Scotland I can heartily recommend it (pun intended). Good luck and well done.
  3. Albert King - Crosscut Saw
  4. Working Week - Inner City Blues
  5. There are certainly a lot of master baiters on here K-Hod.......
  6. I bet they sound the same when you say them, don't they (or is that your joke? :))
  7. We paid about £300k to Rangers for him if I remember correctly. He had a decent career north of the border but he was very poor and unfit so we quickly binned him off to Bristol City.
  8. Ocean Colour Scene - Magic Carpet Days
  9. Roy Orbison - Oh Pretty Woman
  10. Given that he's literally only played a Burnley handful of games at this level I think he's doing as well as can be expected and if he stays injury free will just get better as the season progresses.
  11. The Paul Weller Movement - Here's a New Thing
  12. Congratulations to former Rover Keith Barker who has today bettered his best-ever first class bowling figures by taking the first 7 Notts wickets. 7 for 29 just now with the chance of a ten 'fer. Lancashire are doing well too - could be an interesting last round of games in the county championship.
  13. Even before Hingis and Sharapova you had Tracey Austin who was 16 I think when she won her first major. However, they had all been heavily tipped as 'the next big thing'. This lass has pulled from absolutely nowhere a dominant performance from start to finish of the tournament (including qualifying) that is - as far as I can see - unprecedented. The only other teenage tennis player that has made me sit up and go 'wow' was a 17 year old Boris Becker in 1985. Incredible and I agree with the poster who said it was the most astonishing sporting achievement of his/her lifetime. As for the girl's nationality - she's British, full stop. However you can't blame any of the countries she's connected to for basking in reflected glory.
  14. Scaffold - Lily the Pink
  15. PP Arnold - Angel of the Morning
  16. My uncle treats himself to a brand new car every time Burnley win a trophy. It’s a belter isn’t it?
  17. The Clash - Straight to Hell (apologies 😉😂)
  18. As was Simon Garner, funnily enough.
  19. Not the two goals to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford or the last minute winner in front of the Dingles supporters at Ewood in the FA Cup? Harsh.
  20. Willie Clayton - Love Pains
  21. Edwyn Collins - Running Away With Myself
  22. Blancmange - The Day Before You Came
