You can argue they already haven't. That I find very frustrating - attracting people of his calibre to the club was hard enough, after this I imagine impossible.

I can see the following happen: 1. He walks into a European job at the end of the season. Reputation intact, can point the finger at the failings of the club and broken promises or... 2. He gives the club an ultimatum to either make the necessary investment (players, pitch etc). I think we know how that will go. Clutching at straws but if anything good can come of this utter cluster **** it could be that the owners/cub finally do get pushed into action.

Just checked, he signed a 3 year contract and I can’t imagine he is earning pittance. Would be a big call to walk. That said, he’s a winner, he has standards. He has said it plenty of times, the club and those responsible for transfers ballsed up. Guess we will see how principled he is. Doubt he needs the cash. I just find it all very sad. Very very sad. After all the excitement at the start of the season we are once again a mess.

£10m for BB is a lot of money in hindsight. I’ll admit I was pleased we turned it down though. New signings were absolutely critical to this team for the rest of the season. Look at the impact Thomas has had. Crap game.

JDT sounds furious. Timer on him being at Rovers now. 2. Thought the interviewer asked all the right questions - also not happened very often. Fair play 3. GB looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Not sure he will be here long. Cannot sweep this under the carpet based on one interview. Action is needed and goodness knows what the consequence of this will be for the club. Finally, that can't have been easy for GB to do all the above. Doesn't excuse it or change it, but we are all human and unlike previous crap that has happened, this was naïve rather than corrupt (I hope).

I was too young to remember us winning the league but I do remember how bloody exciting those European matches were, despite us being about as useful in Europe as Waggott running a football club. I remember one game (against....?) when Shabani Nonda was electric and scored. Mcarthy seemed to look the part playing against European teams as well. Heady days indeed. Oh well, have we signed the lad from Rochdale yet?

I'm an optimist but this is crap.

Looked a frustrated figure last night - firmly distanced himself from the transfer situation. Understandably if the club has failed to land the targets he wanted. In my view, he has done a solid job so far. Extremely inconsistent but we are top 6 and into the 5th round. Easy to criticize and he cant be immune to it (Burnley, Preston games etc...) but he and the team are currently exceeding my pre-season expectations. He is clearly an ambitious manager, which can only be a good thing for Rovers. Let's see where we get to this season and enjoy the ride.

The nadir for me was Peterborough away. I was at the game and we were absolutely hopeless against a team who were bottom (I think). There was some real anger in the crowd that day, the only positive being it did seem like TM was done for.

So angry with that today. In the overall context, 3rd in the league is well ahead of expectations but this is a bitter bitter pill to swallow.

so so disappointing today. JDT got this badly wrong but the players also culpable. Players simply haven’t looked up for it and we have been garbage with the ball.

Mola was extremely impressive on Wednesday. Read the game very well against a tricky opponent in Antonio. Their first goal was a definite shove. His ability on the ball stood out - i can see what JDT likes about him if he wants to continue possession based football, building from the back etc. I would be interested to see how he would get on in a midfield 3. Tin hat time butI think he would be a better option than Travis there.

Just got back after that - WHAT an evening. So proud to be a Rover tonight. Not had that much fun at a match in a long long long time. Something special happening at Rovers and we should enjoy it. Brereton Diaz is a wonderful player, joy to watch. Shout out to the 2000+ fans who were there - magnificent. Just poured a whisky - it tastes so good tonight!!!!

JRC and Edun a problem on either wing. They’re not very good. Putting it mildly. Dack just can’t get into the game. Buckley. Oh dear. Markanday should have had two. Well in Vale, that will do him good. 1-1 at half time is a brilliant effort though. West Ham woke up later in the half.
