  1. I think that relinquishing their shares in the club will be a bad move. They'll end up in the same situation as us. No say in the club, no consideration given and no respect.
  2. Buck Owens - Love's Gonna Live Here Again
  3. Spending as little time as we did down there is far more important than whether or not we won the league. Many a team have been sucked into the third division never to be seen again. Thankfully we do not find ourselves amongst that category. Now let's get the fuck out of this division.
  4. That is true, however you'll have more bargaining power as a player trying to negotiate a higher wage with a Premier League club than a championship one. Especially when the contract is coming to an end and you're key part of the squad. From the player's perspective they are playing a longer game and they have the upper hand. I don't blame them for not signing.
  5. It was below average this time 20 years ago.
  6. I think some people are missing a big part of the picture here. Given that we are on a promotion run with potential for these players to be in the Premier League next year, with all of the filthy lucre it brings, it would not be in their best interests to sign a contract tieing them to a Championship level wage for the next couple of years.
  7. To swap places would be just marvellous. But if we don't go up I would much rather them stay up. We need at least one Lancashire town club in the top division. After all we did start the whole thing. Admittedly though having Bonleh as our county ambassadors is certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel.
  8. To swap places with them would be hilarious. The shoes will certainly be flying then.
  9. Stone Roses - Waterfall
  10. We have lost 10000 fans over the last 11 years. A few good results are not going to bring them back. We went from being treated like we were an essential part of the club, woven into the very fabric that is Blackburn Rovers, to being just punters, a revenue stream there to be exploited and dismissed at will. Some of those fans will never be back. Some will only return under certain conditions. The change needs to come from the top. I am not just some punter who is here to provide a source of revenue. The club needs the fans more than the fans need the club.
  11. It's not a big deal to charge that much when you're completely detached from reality.
  12. Yes hopefully that nonsense of giving up a two goal lead is behind us. Another clean sheet will be brilliant.
  13. Wouldn't say it was a bad miss. It was more of a freak miss, a bit unlucky. He hit the inside of the post and it amazingly bounced back out. The goal Barnsley scored was similar but it bounced in the other direction.
  14. Uddersfield seem to be a bit of a bogey team for the Rovers. Hopefully our form will carry us through. We'll be seriously looking at an automatic spot if we can keep this up. I've heard it said that football is 60% confidence and 40% ability.
  15. That West Ham match made me lose 80% of the love I had for the game. We were clearly the victims of match fixing that day and the end of that season was an absolute joke. West Ham field third party players, have matches fixed in their favour and are ultimately rewarded with a place in the Premier League. Absolute disgrace. The Venkys takeover was the final nail.
  16. Don't get too carried away with that. Huddersfield are usually a bogey team for us. The automatic spots is where we should be aiming though.
  17. Deep Purple - Highway Star
  18. Great to see another win. Shows real bottle to keep heads up when conceding that close to half time.
  19. I do hate the sound of my voice. I always try to do something to make it sound different. My accent always sounds far broader on recordings. The quality of the recordings does make a huge difference.
  20. That should just be the price every week
  21. Wherever we are next year it is highly likely that we will only be signing players from the lower leagues or possibly Scotland. We won't have the budget for top players and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if we got promoted and there was absolutely no investment in the squad.
  22. Lots of people comment on how I've still got my accent. I've certainly picked up a lot of words and phrases along the way. Some of them are pure gold. Now, is it luke or luck?
