  1. I met up with a few lads I've not seen for a while before the game, it was alarming to hear a few of them muttering about us needing Venkys 😪 Needless to say they were told how utterly wrong they were!
  2. I genuinely wasn't going to go yesterday had JDT still been there, no disrespect to him really I just couldn't bear watching more of the same. New manager appeal swung it for me and I'm glad I did now. Some really good performances across the pitch, notably McFadzean, actually I think I'll just call him McFadz it's easier. He was barking orders all game and really made an impression. Whether there was an element of players trying to impress the new gaffer or not I don't know but they did seem like a bit of a weight had lifted off their shoulders. A big swing on the stats yesterday, 37% possession and made it count. Number of passes was also hugely down on the QPR game. Not sure if it was a Johnson and Lowe decision to play this way or Eustace, but it was a welcome one.
  3. He gets a lot of stick Benson but honestly ask the players and staff about him. Apparently works every hour under the sun, first one to arrive and last to leave at Brockhall every day. He also does maintenance work because they won't pay anyone else to do it! Also pays for training equipment out of his own pocket which is quite frankly ridiculous, but hats off to him for doing it.
  4. Agreed, his brief is obviously a simple one for now - avoid relegation. If he fails he blames what went on before him and the carnage in the background. It's almost the exact time Mowbray took over when he did in February and ultimately we went down that season due to his predecessor. If he keeps us up, he's probably secured a nice long contract and job that's his as long as he wants it....
  5. Happy and also surprised they've managed to sort a new manager so quickly, although maybe it's been going on for a while and they persuaded JDT to babysit till it was sealed? Or he found out they'd lined his replacement up and lost his shit.... Either way I'm happy with the appointment, we need a new manager bounce and we need to remember how to defend first and foremost.
  6. A decent bloke there's no doubting that, but there's absolutely no hiding from recent results. I went through various stages with JDT, some of his mind bogling decisions made me really question his sanity, notably round the time of a few Derby games. His memorable cup runs brought some great times though. He probably could have taken us further with the right backing, we'll never know. I think a change was needed for both parties.
  7. Whilst I do sympathise with JDT I really do, he's escaped a lot of blame because of the circus around him. He still needs to set up a team to at the very minimum be able to defend, you work with the tools you've got - no disrespect meant there..... It's also possible his agent his putting the feelers out for other jobs right now, if he has something to walk into, he may become a little less demanding with any severance pay. His stock in the UK probably isn't very high, but sure he'll have offers in Europe.
  8. I can only presume the top secret info from this meeting is the proposed managerial changes and I don't think people will be impressed. Can anyone confirm or deny that one of those people involved were present yesterday, or are the rumours bollocks?
  9. They aren't representing the fans, they're enjoying tit bits from fucking Waggott and enjoying the "I know something you don't know" stance. Bit weird/desperate.
  10. Jesus wept, seems a really worthwhile meeting with players who look like they couldn't wait to leave.
  11. So Tommy's still talking shite I see, not sure many lap it up these days mind..
  12. Sheff Wednesday are planning protests against Chansiri too, its a shame we don't play them at Ewood till April, imagine all 4 sides of the ground spilling onto the pitch to protest about scummy owners, THAT would gather attention
  13. Did the club update us when all the Obrien fuck ups were going on and the subsequent appeals etc? Genuinely can't remember now. Or was it just updates from Rich Sharpe?
  14. To an outsider we probably just look like fairweather fans, turning their backs on the club in their hour of need. Which I guess is understandable if you're not fully up to speed with all that's gone on since the vermin took over. Some of the fans I've heard say enough is enough, I'm done the past few days is scary though, lads I never, ever thought would mutter those words, true die hards you could say. Again it all boils down to the feeling of helplessness. Previous protests were absolutely futile, so people are left feeling like whatever happens at Ewood will go unnoticed. They clearly don't watch the games and I seriously doubt their minions would feed any sort of unrest back to them. I guess the only other thing left is fans entering the pitch and disrupting games. Aside from what happened Vs Wigan years ago nothing like this has happened. Previously were fans worried about getting banned etc? I would imagine that worry no longer exists though, because quite frankly it would be doing them a favour.
  15. Genuinely struggling to see us winning another game all season. 0-4 Ennis with a brace.
  16. Sreenivasa Rao was brought in September last year to control the financial side of things. Rao is based out in India. Rao is what about 5 or 6 hours in front of the UK time. Rao would most certainly not give enough of a shit about Blackburn Rovers to sanction a deal at 4 in the morning. So did Steve and Suhail take a punt and say everything was fine, to then get told get fucked then Rao woke up? They're the ones who allegedly have the answers so it's time one of them spoke. Anyone got a cosy meeting with Steve lined up in which they can ask him?
  17. They wouldn't point the finger, but they're the ones with the answers. If it was a bit of paperwork why wouldn't he mention Greg specifically who took the brunt of it last time?
  18. I'm not buying the paperwork storied at all. He's specifically blaming Suhail and Waggott, its got to be down to financial reasons or the twats in Pune pulling the plug. Suhail is their puppet, maybe he fell asleep and didn't pass a message on?
  19. Interesting how JDT has changed his response to ask Steve and Suhail, it was ask Greg previously. Suggests it's a little different this time, fuck knows what though.
  20. Sorry what? He's been playing all season and the results have been horrendous with him in it.
