  1. Presumably because he already has another striker that has scored 20 in half a season?
  2. The full bottom tier holds almost 5,000.
  3. I see that Burnley have managed to be the worst performing team in 2021 on a points per game basis across all 4 English divisions.
  4. The situation last night was a carbon copy of the Bournemouth game. Khadra had hardly been in the game and Gallagher came on to replace him. He was a constant outlet from the Bournemouth pressure, holding the ball up, taking the pressure off the defence and allowing us to build moves. I would Imagine that Mowbray wanted him on to the same last night but it didn't work apart from that shot that nearly knocked the Barnsley keeper out.
  5. He can wear a scarf and a balaclava for me if he keeps playing like he did tonight.
  6. There’s a long press release on Barnsley’s website about the game but no mention of the Covid situation at all.
  7. I don't think it was your mistake El Tombro - it was Rich Sharpe either not realising or not making clear that an article he wrote yesterday contained a quote from 5 days before.
  8. That quote is from a press release on 22/12 from Barnsley, last Wednesday.
  9. It’s hardly surprising that lots of footballers are testing positive as the virus is all around us. More of them are being picked up because they are being tested everyday and most of the general population aren’t. There are thousands, possibly millions who currently have Covid but don’t realise as they have no symptoms or are mistaking a bit of a cough or a runny nose for a cold. I’m willing to bet there will be a fair number of the 3,000 Rovers fans who should have been at the game who will have the virus unknowingly.
  10. I thought Middlesbrough were pretty average today. They had a huge percentage of the first half yet the only goal was a comedy own goal. I think it’s likely that both teams will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season but neither looked great on today’s performance.
  11. I would imagine that there will be a round of testing in the morning - that will presumably be the key point.
  12. Christ that’s a lot of chickens you’re counting there J*B.
  13. Sorry yes I did miss out the transport exemption. But unless we have a scout who is also driving a HGV down to Bordeaux i doubt we could make it work!
  14. No it isn't, unless you are involved in Covid 19 work or are a diplomat.
  15. Don't exaggerate - we only need to win 18-0 to go top on goals scored.
  16. I imagine that there’s one or two armless ones though.
  17. They might be everywhere but they’re still illegal and possession at or on the way to a football game can get you a prison sentence. So Rovers could be liable for fines, stadium closures etc if they don’t do anything. I don’t think you need flares for a good atmosphere anyway.
  18. We're now up to exactly half of the next round of EFL fixtures postponed, with still three days to go.......
  19. Still three days to go so plenty of time for more cases to appear.
  20. Would you be so determined to see games played if it was Rovers who were 2/3 games behind come Monday? Clearly plenty of clubs can't cope at the moment with one a week. As arbitro says it won't be long before the integrity of the competition will suffer.
  21. Presumably PNE's game at West Brom next Thursday will be looking very doubtful then. I can't help thinking that pretty soon this is really going to mess up the league. By 3rd January some teams will be 3/4 games behind others. It might be great for any teams that manage to get their games played particularly whilst they're in good form like us but it can't be good for the game as a whole.
  22. Presumably whichever team is affected will lose their midweek game as well. Any team which gets cases in the next day or two runs a big risk of having their next three games postponed.
  23. No one can have gone from Ewood - we’re currently banned from France.
  24. Moral authority - football? that's a good one.
  25. It seems to me that we are blessed with an overabundance of talent in the Academy right now. The success of the under 18 team has led to a number pushing for experience at under 23s. They can only get this if the incumbents give way. Allowing them to go out on short term loans gives them some real like experience in matches that matter whilst allowing a youngster to have a go at the next level. There's also a case that a month long loan means that the player can be back quickly if the club needs him.
