  1. Given the fact that we will be playing twice a week from now for most of the rest of this season he will continue to get plenty of game time even if it's only now and then off the subs bench.
  2. That would be a result in my view - where do I sign?
  3. The advantage they have is that it's very easy to socially distance their trophies.
  4. I can't see any confirmation yet but this is on the BBC website: - Another Republic player missed Sunday's draw with Wales after a positive test. Four other squad members - John Egan, Callum Robinson, Callum O'Dowda and Alan Browne - who were close contacts, also missed the Nations League game at the Aviva Stadium. As I understand it there were 5 players altogether - one positive and 4 who had close contact. So if Williams was one of the five I presume he is the positive one.
  5. I finished my 1,000 mile cycle challenge today with a great ride from Caton to home. To date I’ve raised over £1,500 for WaterAid.
  6. Despite an individual winning It, the Tour de France is absolutely a team sport. It can’t be won by an individual.
  7. We'll be fine - can't see us losing this weekend. The following Saturday when we play Forest might be different though.
  8. It's on the Championship thread Hoochie...........
  9. Struber now gone to New York Red Bulls.
  10. After two excellent performances he was a disappointment today, frequently running into blind alleys and once resulting in giving away a free kick on the edge of our box. I think Talksport suggesting Rothwell was the best player says more about their level of reporting. Buckley did much more In 30 minutes.
  11. Unless Birmingham and/or Brentford win tomorrow - in which case we’ll be 7th or 8th. The most important bit about the game today for me was the clean sheet. When was the last time we had three in a row?
  12. There never was a storm forecast up here yesterday - it was further south. Steady rain all day today though.
  13. Keep up Gav - 79-9 now Parkinson with 3 wickets in an over.
  14. It's worked very well for me too. On the day of the Wycombe game I didn't have a code to watch the game, having bought a season ticket late the night before. At 14.18 I emailed the club and got a reply at 14.22 with a code and full details on how to log on. I bought a pass for the Derby game and again it was fine except for the sound being a couple of seconds behind the play for the first 15-20 minutes. Probably having trouble keeping up with the goals.
  15. Ayala played 60 minutes of the under 23 game last night. My guess would be that he just might be on the bench on Saturday.
  16. 4-0 - another well-worked goal scored by Luke Brennan. The two sub forwards are running Leicester's defenders ragged now.
  17. 3-0. Two from Conor McBride minutes after coming on as a sub (and he has had time to miss another good chance). Buckley played a gorgeous chip into the box but whoever he played it to didn't pick it - he would have been through on goal.
  18. Oh well, the run was good while it lasted......
  19. No mead. That was last millennium. The record was for this one, all of 20 years.
  20. Even more odd is that John Buckley doesn't even have his own thread and I suspect will end up as the best of the three of them.
  21. The alcohol ban is not an FA rule, it’s the law, so would need Parliament to change it and that’s not going to happen. However the rule only applies when in sight of the pitch so only when the actual game is happening. You can still drink before and after and at half time. Just start the meal earlier or later.
  22. Despite all the challenges of running the world’s biggest bike race during a pandemic this year’s Tour de France has been excellent. A pretty open race which several riders could have won and which looked to have been sewn up by Primoz Roglic until yesterday’s time trial. Then the seemingly impossible happened and young Tadej Pojocar pulled a superb performance at the same time as Roglic had a bad day. Bury’s Adam Yates unexpectedly had several days in yellow and Preston’s Hugh Carthy had an excellent ride as a climbing domestique for Rigoberto Uran and Education First. We still have both the Giro and the Vuelta to come in the next few weeks with Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome respectively in with a good shout of victory.
  23. Well there's one thing North End fans are ahead of us on - talking rubbish on a Summer Transfer thread. They're almost on 600 pages.
  24. I've been away for the last few weeks on our canal boat so apologies for not updating this. There was no Fans Forum meeting on Monday. That's because the club asked us for a meeting about 10 days before that to discuss planes for fans' return to Ewood. We met by Zoom on Tuesday 8th and the Code of Conduct issued with the ST renewal pack was the result. Unfortunately about an hour after we finished the meeting the Government announced the new limit of 6 people and coupled with the local lockdowns meant that any chance of getting fans in today went and it's likely that it won't happen at the beginning of October as was hoped. As we met on 8th there was not much point in meeting again on 14th so we have put the meeting back until October.
  25. He didn't even get on the bench, let alone off it.
