Premier League 22-23

So that's Southampton and Leicester all but confirmed then. Who's the third? Leeds? Everton? Forest? -

Leicester are an absolute shambles. Everton are going to survive relegation AGAIN because there's somehow 3 worse teams in the league - even though they're absolutely awful themselves (again). -

It's a fair assumption. VAR has killed the game - it's not being used properly. -
23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

I hope they get the halves (quarters) right this year. -

Boro look very plodding - have they run out of steam at the end of the season? -
Well there's a difference between dismantling the squad and retooling the squad. If we just let Ayala, Brereton, Dack and Kaminski walk and replace them with Academy players then we're getting relegated. Until proven otherwise I'm going to believe we're going to use those freed up wages / any funds recouped through transfers to build the squad in JDT's image.

Luton are a really hard watch. Perfectly built for grinding out results in the Championship (a big team of athletes who are well drilled and dangerous from set pieces / crosses). -

The cliff notes version is: Spent a lot of money, achieved nothing, left the squad in a shambles and acted like he'd rather be anywhere else than managing Rovers. I can go into more detail if you'd like? -
I'm delighted this squad is splitting up - lots of average (at best) Championship players with zero killer instinct. The fact they seem to enjoy each other's company is irrelevant to me, I want to see my team entertain me and win football matches.

As much as I hate Mowbray, I am having a giggle at Luton absolutely bottling it. The last thing we need is more nothing Southern clubs supercharged by PL wealth. -

Unbelievable from Diallo - he shouldn't be at this level (he cost Man U anywhere from €25-40m). -

God Luton area hard watch. -
If you've got several hours to fill, Mark, hand me a microphone.

Why? This is the first season we've had a coherent plan since we were relegated. -

Wait until Carlton Palmer hears about this, he'll be livid. -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
Exiled_Rover replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Might as well flog A. Wharton while the offer is on the table then 'cos that's not a serious way to run a promotion campaign. -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
Exiled_Rover replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Where have you heard that? I'd be livid if I was Kaminski - I had assumed he wasn't fully fit post-surgery, if he was kept out of the team by Pears on 'form' then I'd be asking to leave too as he's a much better player. -

Two poor teams at Stamford Bridge - the difference being Awoniyi (£20m btw) rising above and between the two Chelsea CBs and the GK to head home Forest's only chance. Having said that, Sterling has just equalised. -

Steele was pathetic against Everton - looked like a poor L1 GK playing in the Prem... which is exactly what he is. -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
Exiled_Rover replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's not that I think Kaminski is as good as some of the standout GKs we've had in the last 30 years, it's that you know he's a competent Championship GK and we're pushing for the playoffs next year (by all accounts - the project is off the rails if we don't). Pears is a decent backup, but he's not a starting quality GK in the Championship, he has too many flaws in his game. -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
Exiled_Rover replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Fine, as long as we get a decent fee and bring in a #1 to replace him. Letting him go, starting Pears and having Hilton et al as the backup is shooting yourself in the foot regardless of what you do with our forward line (or lack thereof). -

Exiled_Rover replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As I said in the transfer window thread, if the plan is to start Pears and sell Kaminski I'd like my season ticket money back, please. He's clearly not good enough to be a starter - I hope these are backup wages in this new contract. -

Absolutely zero mention of the contract length. I'd definitely be renting if I was him. -
