  1. Remember we had a really good end to the season, think we won 8/9 out of our last 10/11 games or so. I especially loved that Liverpool game with most of my school mates being Liverpool fans, my first taste of bragging rights in the school yard I think.
  2. What do people think about this plan for next season? Splitting each league into north & south, and have the relevant clubs meeting at the end of the season to decide promotion, relegation etc. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/championship-blackburn-preston-leeds-united-18117298
  3. I think he did earlier on in his career in Turkey. He was so good at dictating play though when he came here, I don't think he would have been as effective further forward I think if we're looking at a "perfect partner" for Shearer, I always thought Santa Cruz would have been an ideal foil for him. Them two could have caused absolute chaos for defenders in there prime. Individual players though, I have to agree with Bellamy. A fantastic player who always made you think something was to happen when he had the ball.
  4. How close is Tugay to that 11 Tyrone? Agree that's high praise for Bellamy indeed considering he only played 32 games for us, but what a player. Had you out of your seat everytime he got the ball.
  5. Next summer window maybe, if he comes back the same player.
  6. Warnock was a left back though, and will always be behind Le Saux in best 11's. He's the best left back we have had in the past 20 years though.
  7. It's just white noise all that. He'll be saying the same thing in 3 years.
  8. You thinking of the one against Middlesbrough? That was a beauty. He got an assist against Arsenal at Ewood that was a superb bit of play down the right wing that could be confusing things.
  9. Every other seat being vacant is hardly social distancing anyway, how do you get to your seat if it's in the middle of the block? It's all nonesense, I wouldn't expect fans in stadiums until next year at the earliest.
  10. I don't think Ke*n was ever in any real trouble where a defeat at OT would have seen him potted. He would have been here well into 2013 if he hadn't of walked.
  11. The top flight clubs will be business as usual before we know it. It's lower down where will suffer.
  12. Yeah, I might be more inclined to watch Rovers matches online or on TV in an empty stadium, but I think i would get bored very quickly of watching the premier league every week with no fans in attendance.
  13. I personally think we'll need two new goalkeepers, and a new centre half until the end of time with this lot running the show.
  14. Love that goal, it was a more controlled version of Gazza's goal against Scotland at Euro 96.
  15. It was. We did similar the season before against Huddersfield & Sheffield Utd. Those deals worked then, and although not to to quite the same numbers, they work now.
  16. Those Duff goals mentioned above were at Ewood against Ipswich & Southampton in 2002, both evening games. The Southampton one was actually Easter Monday, with nearly 30k on!
  17. If he was, he would have signed a new deal.
  18. Probably not far off. Bennett has been here a while and got a new deal fairly recently, and Gallagher was a big money buy. Travis has only been in the side a year, and Dack has only signed one new deal since we were In the third division.
  19. Agreed, it's a new story every day with a different target etc. It's all bollocks, we'll still be in this position come August IMO.
  20. Best wishes Paul.
  21. I've just read that. It will never, ever happen.
  22. That's the one @Oldgregg86 is thinking of. Summer 03 or 04.
  23. We only wore it for that one game at Arsenal didn't we?
  24. He was up against Beckham that night at Old Trafford and was superb. League cup semi final, we got the 1-1 there and think lost 3-1 at Ewood in the return leg despite going one up.
  25. I might be wrong, but in the T&C's of a season ticket purchase, I don't think it guarantees a set amount if games to be valid for, just a guarantee for all games played in the season. So if the season does become void, we have had all our games this season. Obviously opens up questions if they are played behind closed doors though.
