I personally get a bit fed up folk saying "he's not like Danny Graham", Danny Graham wasn't like the Danny Graham of today until he hit his thirties! The long term goal to me looks like a Gallagher/Brereton partnership to be firmly in place for the start of the 20/21 season as neither Graham or Dack will be here then I presume. With Armstrong/Rothwell/Chapman and hopefully by then Butterworth either side of them it's good long term planning in the forward areas. Just a shame the defence doesn't get the same attention.

I imagine Dack will be out of the door next summer if not this.

If Gallagher does sign, then i'm guessing that Mowbray's long term plan (season after next) will be 2 out of Gallagher, Brereton & Armstrong up top, as it's unlikely that both Graham and Dack will be here after this season for me.

The last sentence seems to a continuing theme though doesn't it. If you had the worst away defensive record in the entire football league, surely a couple of new defenders would be the priority, we aleady have 4 strikers and Dack on the books.

I get what your saying and the bit in bold is fair enough if it happens. I think the reaction was down to Bauer playing in our most problem position though, and the worry that missing out on him and not getting anyone of any quality back there. Gallagher is ok, but I don't think him as a signing will define our season, but some real quality at the back might just do.
