Well he has, he's on loan at Doncaster for the season. Probably wouldn't rule him out just yet as Carter and Wharton needed multiple loans out at his age to get ready for this level. I think the plan is probably to go with 5 centre backs, Carter, Hyam, Wharton, "new" (I don't think there's a chance we get Kapaudi), and Atcheson/Litherland as 5th choice. Montgomery is another who has been talked up by Ismael so yeah expect him to be on the fringes of the side as 4th/5th choice in midfield.

Also let O'Riordan go. Tom Atcheson has been training with the first team squad so far in pre season, seems he is the next one they want to push through. After that probably looking at Litherland who is also highly rated.

Yep I agree with this. Said a few times that if the 4 lads out of contract stay this season and simply run down there deals, then we should be fairy competitive again, I think we would be nearer 17th than 7th, but don't think we would ever be in any real trouble. Take a couple of those out though and replace with more cheap foreign imports and we could be in trouble very quickly.

I think Mannsverk can be filed away with other names such as Sagnan, Kapaudi, Gassama etc. The days of signing players with that kind of pedigree are over, we just won't pay what it would take to get him.
