[Archived] Benni Mccarthy - Gone
Ricky replied to adam lodge's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
20 goals. Surely that says it all. How some people can say get rid of a player who has scored 20 goals is beyond me. This is his first season in the Prem, we have seem very very big money players fail to make anywhere near the impression Benni has. It takes time to adjust to the Prem, we need to keep him and get him a decent partner up front. It would be daft to even consider selling him. -
Well I was one of the thousands who booed ginger sven off the pitch at half time. How we can be 0'0 after 45 minutes against that lot is a disgrace. Its time the players and the coaching staff took a good look at themselves. Steve McLaren is not the right man for the job, end of!! Anyway, off to bed now. feeling fairly wrecked now and have the prospect of 2 days on the lash in Dublin to come. Leave Barca at 10.00 in the morning. Goodnight all!!!!

Nice to see Bents and derbs celebrating together. Derbs ran straight to Bentley. Got a warm rovers glow at the moment.

Although I didnt watch the programme it is interesting that the Director was one Martin Durkin. Durkin produced a series for Channel 4 called Against Nature. There were a number of complaints from his interviewees and the ITC found that the views of the interviewees had been distorted by selective editing. Channel 4 was obliged to broadcast one of the most humiliating primetime apologies it has ever had to make. Also interesting to note that one of the interviewees on last nights programme was Paul Reiter, an "eminent scientist". His comments are interesting but it should probably be noted that Reiter is involved with no less than 4 organisations that receive funding from ExxonMobil. Don't believe all you see on the little box in the corner of the living room. -
I still think he might have a part to play in the run in. Get his confidence up with a good loan spell and then bring him into the team when he's firing on all cylinders.

The Ashley Day one was first reported here Somerset Rover. I put it on the front page a few days ago after picking up on it in the local press.
-
Don't think Liverpool would go in for him after his comments when he chose west Ham I personally think he'll end up goign abroad.
-
7 points is quite a lot for West Ham to have to pull back (I know it's only 6 but the goal difference may as well be another point) If Wigan continue to pick up points West Ham are screwed. It was the same last time they went down. Everyone thought they were too good to go down then but they did.

Cocker, I think he means that he has a poor understanding of tictacs, in that he prefers the green ones to the orange ones..... which everyone knows is just wrong!!

I left on 75 minutes. It was rubbish -
Aah, you spotted my deliberate mistake. Todd and Nelson over Henchoz and Nelson Think that's right this time.
-
I'd rather see Todd and Nelsen than Todd and Henchoz.
-
To be honest he's always been the same, he's always looked like he's about to collapse in a big heap. I always recall Duffer being very similar, he's look knackered before running past 5 players like they weren't there.

Wigan are looking a very good bet for the drop. -
Hoping to be able to play a few games on my new laptop. I went for one with a slightly better memory card (geforce 256mb(128 dedicated and 128 shared) and 1gb RAM. Its a Core 2 Duo processor so I'm hoping the spec should be ok for some gaming.

The Official Site stating Dunn won't feature this weekend. Shame I was hoping he'd get on for a few minutes. -

Well Toddy was skipper against Everton so he might get the armband back
-
What colour is the numbering on the away shirt. I'm gussing it's white. Thinking I might go for Dunn 19 on it before the weekend.

I'd like to see him get a few minutes on Saturday. -
A shame that he listened to his own press. I'm sure his agent kept him up to date of the 'interest' from Barca, AC Milan and Liverpool and after all that he ends up going to a team in the bottom three. I'd be looking for a new agent if I was him At least he gets his £50k a week, I don't know how he'll manage on it. Jim, I would have been quite happy with Konchesky as a left back for us. Don't think he's a bad player at all.
-
Ideally I guess we could do with an experienced midfielder who could be available to loan for a few months. . . . . . I'm sure there's a guy kicking his heels in Madrid who we could borrow until the Summer.
-
Rover6, Just noticed that Cieron Donnally, you remember him don't you, he's the lad from the youth team that you felt should be playing in our first team when you had never seen him play, well he's now on loan at Southport in the Conference.

heapbag, surely in that case you could say that having a PS3 will be like having a more expensive PS2. The graphics and power of the Wii are far better than the gamecube.
