  1. If you honestly think they’ll sack him after a poor run of results (like every other Championship club), fair enough. I just don’t. But as you say, he’s a young, foreign coach and there is a big old world out there for the roving manager for hire, so unlike the last fella, I doubt he’d hang around just happy to be in employment at a middling second division outfit.
  2. My point is, we are a totally different club from that of 2010 to 2013 in which it was a revolving door of managers and executives. These days, if you play the game with the owners you can get your feet right under the table and you are given a contract and left to get on with it until it expires, the metrics that must people are judged by at football clubs - results, don’t seem to come into it. Waggott being another example.
  3. I know, Appleton came after Berg.
  4. Obviously that’s what the thread is for! But surely you have to be realistic? If you think he should go, fair enough, think it’s far too early to even be thinking about it personally, but it’s a game of opinions. My point is having any expectation that the club will actually do anything if things go awry is a waste of energy. They do not make decisions, they let things fester and fester. Take away Coyle, who was only sacked due to a short term appearance of that Paul Senior character (and even he went on far too long), when did they quickly sack a manager? Appleton nearly a decade ago.
  5. Why wind yourself up and waste your energy with ‘get rid’ posts? We are at the top end of the league and this is a club that doesn’t sack contracted managers. They didn’t sack TM on horror run #6 (or was it 7, 8?), so they certainly won’t be even thinking about JDT’s position this, or probably, next season (unless we are marooned at the bottom). If you really do want him gone, you need to hope that this isn’t ’the project’ he thought he was and he goes off his own accord. Surely it should be clear to everybody by now that Venky BRFC doesn’t behave like any other Championship club…
  6. Numbered with who? The never ending story with TM tells us that these days this lot don’t sack contracted managers.
  7. Your problem Mash is that you don’t seem to realise that folk hurt in the aftermath of a horrendous defeat, so of course they will come across as irrational and say things they probably wouldn’t a day later, it’s part and parcel with football fans, it’s a passionate pastime. So maybe give the disapproving finger wagging a rest for once.
  8. First few pages of this thread are a laugh ‘well I certainly won’t be watching’, ‘England games and that’s it’, ‘I’m boycotting’… most of the same posters have since given a minute by minute running commentary. 😁
  9. The Terrace and Etsy do too…
  10. All the club can do is put the under soil heating on and sort out other elements they can control, I.e entrances and walkways within the Ewood estate. If they have been doing, great, as there have been times when they haven’t, including Millwall last season. The rest of it is out of their control and as you say if the ref or other ‘stakeholders’ say no game then fair enough.
  11. Nobody has agreed with you. Everybody else agrees that the retail operation at Ewood is crap and has been for years. Maybe I will contact them, they might then list a club shop staff list on the website or something…
  12. We had no kits with Umbro for months on end pre Covid, we have no kits now. You can’t find any other clubs with zero kits on sale. So please, please stop making a fool of yourself.
  13. Because like a lot of countries there is also a sizeable middle class with plenty of disposable income.
  14. So *three* examples out of the hundreds of clubs out there of some sizes not being available and not one example of home shirts not being available. Whereas we have 0 available in any size. Well worth your research on a Friday night 🤦‍♂️ Hmm, as this has been going on for years (apart from February, checks notes, 2016) maybe, just maybe there is an issue with the retail operation at BRFC. Why do you constantly defend the incompetents that somehow have a position at this club over wanting the best for the club itself? You need to have a long hard look at yourself.
  15. Chaddy, just stop, you’ve embarrassed yourself enough on this thread. These logistical and manufacturing problems are obviously a non issue as *every other* club has plenty of kits in stock.
  16. Guess what, not everybody is like you and buys a shirt in July. That’s why every other club has shirts in stock right now, because there is this thing called ‘Christmas’ where people exchange gifts.
  17. Outsourced and out of mind. Contrast it to the service you get at a club like Accy. There’s just a real shrug of the shoulders and decay about the whole commercial operation.
  18. Accy already called off, so let’s hope for no repeat of the Millwall farce…
  19. Assuming they’ve flogged c4,000, so c14,500 Rovers fans at £30-£35 for a Sky game in this weather… can’t see it unfortunately.
  20. Certainly does on the football side, so it’s a real shame the re-org in the summer didn’t finish the job across the executive structure…
  21. Be most apt to piss away Jack’s final legacy to end up back at Pleasy…
  22. A programme? Good luck with that, another Swag cut. I mean only rich clubs, you know, like Clitheroe and Chorley, can afford such luxuries…
  23. The fact he gave them a full allocation of 7,000+ straight off (e.g not an initial allocation) says he fully expected them to get close to selling it… at £30, on Sky, at midday, just before Christmas, in a cost of living crisis. The man just doesn’t have the faintest clue about what drives ticket sales in this area (and if he’s shocked by PNE, wait for the Blackpool and Wigan Cat A turnout).
  24. Alas it’s ‘the next summer’ that never arrives!
  25. The academy is obviously going great guns, so it needs bulldozing because…
