  1. Arrogant twat too. 1,000+ travel down to Portsmouth and straight down the tunnel. Take it Swaghail will be having a word Monday? (Ha!) Rudderless organisation with no standards or will to win. Would be unacceptable at any other professional football club.
  2. If you supported a normal club but they happened to make a terrible managerial appointment, you’d be fuming with the owner/board, but you’d know that sooner rather than later he’d be out the door, hopefully before they could do too much damage. Here, it’s the helplessness of knowing 2028, probably does mean 2028 as he oversees our League 2 campaign…
  3. Wait, so it’s not ‘too late’ for that lot like ‘umble Longers was trying to make out the other week?
  4. Think as part of the new TV deal they can show goal clips for 3pm games (not live matches still).
  5. Good job we got to 50 points quick, right scrap down there.
  6. Views on Glen’s campaign, @Mashed Potatoes?
  7. Bank Holiday afternoon (Good Friday) game or a Tuesday night for kid a quid tickets, hmmm, wonder what the Brains Trust chose…
  8. 1000+ down there today despite everything #nobodywouldeverbuyus
  9. Very small number of trolls and plants post in there but they have an oversized influence due to it still being a main source of Rovers news… the regime must love it/coordinate it.
  10. We’ll see if Gestede is fair game with what the wider fanbase thinks at matches. If he’s on banners/part of chants too, then great. If folk are scratching their heads, then it was a misstep and a distraction from the ultimate cause.
  11. Obviously my point is being missed here. To be clear, I was massively against his appointment from day one (unlike a fair few on here), a ridiculous appointment, he’s out of his depth and shouldn’t be here - another symptom of the disease that is this ownership. However, I accept that much of the fanbase don’t get in the weeds like we do, they won’t understand why you are going after ‘football’ people too - we need to bring as much of those fans along with us. Division is what the regime want and have utilised against us from day 1. (But I’ll leave it here as I’ll keep repeating myself every time someone else goes ‘well, feck him, he’s fair game’, ‘he’s up Swag’s arse’ etc).
  12. Exactly that, Dom. Like you it’s just a bit of constructive feedback.
  13. Of course he isn’t some cult hero, and yes he is ’neither here nor there’, so why include him then? He’s seen as ‘doing a job on the football side’, ‘so why is he being targeted? Thought they wanted to get behind the team?’ Think like Joe Bloggs that just watches a game at Ewood every other week, not us club forensics. Suhail and Swag sufficed.
  14. Don’t think like us brfcs-ers, think of the wider fanbase. Going after a ‘football man’/ex player ‘who’s doing ok with no budget, he brought in Makhtar!’ is diluting the waters. I seem to be in the minority on here, fair enough, but think of those that need educating out there, Gestede is a distraction.
  15. Disagree on Gestede. As an ex-player on the ‘football side’, he’ll not be seen as fair game by a sizeable chunk of the fanbase in contrast to Venky bean counters like Swag-hail. That was the only misstep for me today. It’s vitally important to keep the messaging tight as we need to keep as much of the fanbase as possible onside this time if it’s going to be different than all the previous campaigns.
  16. So we go after some no mark like Rudy Gestede? A completely insignificant individual, but by including him too you can dilute the message and it becomes scattergun.
  17. Yes, I didn’t quite understand the Gestede angle, low down the chain, even less clout than Swag-hail. I’m nitpicking slightly, as it’s been a highly positive day, but the owners and those two should have been purely the targets for me, an ex-player on the football side is far more likely to get some sympathy from the fanbase.
  18. Always amazes me how many folk spend the majority of their time at Ewood supping that piss water on the concourses.
  19. Their standard playbook. Say nothing or come out with a platitude ridden statement on a blue background and wait for it to blow over - perhaps it won’t this time…
  20. I’ve cut them a lot of slack, I’ve been a member for a decade, but fundamentally it seems a very cautious, bogged down in procedure organisation and they seem to struggle to quickly pivot and get on the front foot. There is still a place for them, it has a committee full of dyed in the wool Blues that care deeply, but in a time of crisis they just aren’t going to lead any resistance - but luckily others will, as proven today.
  21. Bit of reflection needed within the WATR committee after today.
  22. The Facebook responses are interesting, hardly a pro-regime one to be seen… contrast that to a few months ago. The tide has turned and they know it.
  23. On the BBC now… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cz6161z4531o
  24. 1300 tickets, will go on general sale no question
