  1. Once again my posts are being deleted...
  2. Leeds have only ever achieved anything in a couple of small spells, late 60s to mid 70s and the 1992 title win. The way they go on you’d think they were (Manchester) United.
  3. Why will it? Who’s ‘angry/frustrated’ with Leeds bloody United. Hilarious delusions of grandeur. You’ve been in the lower leagues for 16 years, just because the media gets all misty eyed with a club that fills their ground when doing well (not exactly difficult being the only club in one of the UK’s biggest cities), but you are just another club.
  4. ‘Bad times’? Eh? It makes the league even more competitive and it’s still years away from the next TV deal negotiation. But you’re probably right, how WILL we cope without the mighty Leeds
  5. 28 and playing in the fourth division, finally at his level. Still hurts my brain to think of how many years we allowed him to stink up our midfield.
  6. Competition organisers, nothing more (and they can’t even do that properly with the farcical situation this evening).
  7. So what’s your prediction, Mercer?
  8. Still think there’s a chance Walton will be Brighton’s number 1 next season, Chaddy?
  9. Bet he does, he’ll be a millionaire...
  10. The pandemic should mean its harder to get inflated prices for the likes of Lenihan. Who’s paying £8million in this market? But who knows. Football is a law in unto itself, so transfers may just carry on as normal (though if it does then the sport deserves to collapse).
  11. I would say his empire is retrenching, Sky sold, 20th Century Fox sold, National Geographic sold, News of the World closed. The Sun is his only mass market vehicle left in this country and print media’s reach is getting ever smaller. Trinity Mirror (Reach) are now the biggest print news group - Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Record, a host of local titles.
  12. The Times and Sunday Times are the very best of print journalism. Balanced editorial line and columnists from across the political spectrum. In what way do the Times/Sunday Times have a negative impact on British society and politics?
  13. ‘Mowbray hatred’ This passes for debate now?
  14. Is it not simply just no money left to carry on as a going concern?
  15. They’ll be sitting pretty by the way. At Lincoln they had a soaring reputation but they operated in a low expectation environment, so took the hospital pass (but fat contract that goes with it) which is the nosediving, freshly relegated club and turned them round. Can be fatal decisions for up and coming managers. Safety assured comfortably enough, then fired off, but with reputation enhanced and now financially made for life. 6 months work. Some occupation!
  16. Ha! He may have seen himself as a socialist, but he’d be getting himself cancelled with those comments these days
  17. It won’t happen, but if something similar did it would just be met with a shrug from a large part of the fanbase (and a certain few on here). ’Face facts, we are a small club’ ’That’s why we have an academy’ ’Quite right that the owners look to balances the books’.
  18. With a fire sale already underway, whatever happens points wise, it’s looking like League 1 sooner of later...
  19. Club without a pot to piss in or even a ground are going to buy a top English Championship talent? These twitter accounts would get more hooks if they weren’t so ridiculous
  20. We all know there’s obviously attitude problems with Chapman, that’s not the first LT piece on it, the fact he waddled on the pitch a good stone overweight would be the first clue. I personally see him in L1/L2 or out of the game entirely in a few years, he won’t be the first or last to piss away his talent. But if he gets ‘on the grass’ and does the business - i.e creating the winning goal then fans will clamour to see more.
  21. But what if your centre half wears 6? ?
  22. Either spill the beans or say nowt. Otherwise it’s just ITK willy waving and a bit sad...
  23. Is it just me or are people referring to numbers more than used to? What happened to actual positions? I was reading an article the other day and the journo was banging on about ‘6s’ ‘8s’ ‘9s’ and ‘10s’ Thought I’d stumbled into the rugby section...
  24. Weird goings on this evening. Reports that EFL to deduct the points NEXT season. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8542283/amp/Wigan-Sheffield-Wednesday-AVOID-relegation-Championship.html?__twitter_impression=true Then just minutes later the EFL rush out a statement saying they will still get deducted THIS season pending an appeal, so sticking to their original statement - ‘If in the event the Club is relegated by virtue of their final position following the conclusion of the Championship season, then the deduction will apply in League One in 2020/21. However, if the Club is not in the relegation places following the final game of season, the sanction will be then be applied to their season 2019/20 total and final league standings amended as appropriate.’ The Mail report can’t possibly be true, as the EFL wouldn’t make rules up as they go along. Another farcical episode from this inept organisation
