  1. I’m on about our fans. Rangers and Celtic fans can sing whatever shite they want.
  2. That was my point as it will be OUR dickheads singing it.
  3. Aye with all the Dickheads singing ‘Fenian’ this, ‘F*** the Pope’ that.
  4. The brfcs poll means nowt, not representative in any way to the wider fanbase. If we usually sell 4,000 a month into sales then yes, big trouble, but we could’ve sold 1,500 by this stage normally. Without a like for like you can’t read into it either way. But there is even less incentive to buy early this season as they’ve got rid of the early bird and subsequent price rise in July. Doesnt change my view that the club is always too late getting them on sale and doesn’t do enough to market them, by the way.
  5. To be fair the season ticket number at this stage means nothing unless it is significantly down on what is normally is a month before the seat deadline. Really reaching to connect it to no signings at the start of June.
  6. It was total tripe. But blame George Martin for not being able to get the novels finished.
  7. Typical Rovers fans overrea.... oh https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/downing.1475865/
  8. Yes? Nothing to do with the EFL meeting as they have a week long jolly on the Algarve every June
  9. Oh and all the club chief execs and the EFL bigwigs are now in Portugal for their end of season meeting... because well, why not, better than Preston ay!
  10. I know. Tyrone obviously hadn’t heard it.
  11. He'll be out round the Ribble Valley with Gladwin
  12. He'll be under the stairs in Chez Venkys.
  13. Gary Neville, this one I believe: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/9177874.blackburn-rovers-owners-buy-gary-neville-5m-mansion/
  14. Though they aren’t targeting any increase from what I can see...
  15. Well that's interesting Steve because according to the Fans Forum minutes from last September we sold 9,461. We then added more half STs and sold a total of 10, 096 (according to January Fans Forum) I presumed therefore that our target this season would be north of that, 11k or so. Seems like he has now come out with a smaller figure sold (8,750) and our target is less than last season's total, some ambition! 'SW stated that season tickets had been taken off sale after the Aston Villa game and that sales stood at 9,641. This was below the club’s stretch target of 10,500, although that target included half season ticket sales (typically around 300-400).' https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/72f15c4f64fc46be88e3fa7646577133/ff-minutes-17.9.18.pdf 'Half day season tickets had now gone off sale. 399 had been sold, making a total of 10.096 season tickets.' https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/d47edf0f19cd47dea3a73e898f8da69c/ff-minutes-7.1.19.pdf
  16. Looking forward to Mogga’s. Need to free up an hour... ’You walk up the steps, you see the floodlights, you smell the fried onions, you notice the green grass...’
  17. Wait till after the 1 July claim your seat deadline for ST holders, some decent ones could well pop up.
  18. You can only maximise that limited income so far, certainly doesn’t lend itself to being a regular in the top 6 of the Championship. Good job we have a benefactor model, ay...
  19. Exactly the point I was making, Waggott is in cloud cuckoo land if he expects crowds to increase when we plod along in the mid table of the second division.
  20. I’m on about summer season ticket sales, they can receive a boost by some attractive close season signings. You are correct that when the season is actually underway, it is success on the pitch that boosts crowds.
  21. You can just imagine the arse falling out of the Hearns
  22. At least the club has now knocked those ridiculous self imposed noon KOs on the head.
  23. As long as we are an also ran in the second division - which we largely have been since 2012, crowds will not substantially rise. I wish they would, but I doubt we’ll sell more than our standard 10,000 STs - now start showing some intent in the transfer market and that may change, ‘the club is looking more stable’, ain’t going to bring in the numbers, as reassuring as that may be the likes of us on here.
  24. I think with the dominance of elite clubs, glory hunting is now as bad as it’s ever been. Or perhaps it just seems worse to us as we look forward to our 8th year outside the top flight, and some parents just go for the easy option of letting their kid have a Liverpool/City shirt like the rest of their class. You start to lose young ‘uns from Rovers supporting families and it’s game over, as the rest of the area has seemingly succumbed already. Bleurgh.
