  1. In 2000/2001 we consistently had one of the highest. Shows how much this league has changed and how much lasting damage 2010-2012 did. I would hope and pray the club will be doing everything in its power to increase season ticket sales next summer, but I doubt it, it will be just more a case of ‘squeeze the regulars.’
  2. Marginal gains are what Mogga’s after... (He didn’t go to Pune in the end) https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17221415.rovers-boss-targeting-marginal-gains-after-venkys-talks/?ref=mac
  3. Got talking to someone who was in the Moorgate pre game on Saturday and he said the team thought he was still superb. A much better standard of football on the Flyde Coast then down Pleasy, obviously!
  4. I have also worked with an office load of them for years and I’ve found some of them to have a chip on both shoulders when it comes to Rovers..
  5. It’s because there were a few folk in Rovers shirts wandering around Fulwood 25 years ago... that’s literally it.
  6. Their standard ‘Plastics’ thread is underway. The jist being we are ‘plastic’ because we are taking more for a 3pm game when the club’s on the up than the live on Sky game last time when on a downer (though a fake news photo, as it’s obviously taken before KO, we had 2,500 there that evening). If this lot are bottom half when we meet at Ewood, their following will be down from when they were chasing the play offs last time - that’s just to be expected. Such a bitter bunch. https://www.pne-online.net/forum/forum/football-forums/pne-discussions/3402278-yet-they-wonder-why-we-call-them-the-plastics
  7. Ow much?! Thought it has gone from £5 to £10? Edit - Spotted it’s £15 for non ST holders.
  8. I would imagine 1875 membership has fallen off a cliff this season. No Fleetwood’s this year. Everybody who I know signed up last season (me included) haven’t bothered. Not a single away match thus far has come close to selling out before general sale (as we expected)- due to bigger allocations, not new grounds, dearer, not top of the league etc - so we all thought, why bother? The club therefore needs to rethink what it’s doing with it, JH’s ideas would be a start...
  9. Can’t they just recommend you go to, say the Old Vic?
  10. Missed the Blackpool sell out... 5,302 (2,217 Rovers)
  11. Can’t speak for what’s inside the programme, but Port Vale’s from yesterday:
  12. The red button/ifollow development is absolute lunacy for non top flight clubs to agree to. There was no clamour from fans for it to happen and the EFL isn’t the PL, so can’t withstand so many games being on TV. Little financial benefit and enormous potential long term downsides. No surprise it is causing issues between clubs and that amateur organisation on Fishergate Hill.
  13. Totally get your point JH, but to me the foundations feel slightly more firm than they did 2013/15. However, with these owners it all seems to be about personal relationships. Mowbray and Waggott seem to gel with them, every chance the next appointees don’t, then what? Time will tell and if they eventually replace Mowbray with another Coyle-esque candidate then nothing at all has changed.
  14. I presume a pay off has to be mutual, so why would he take it? Gladwin may as well make use of the Brockhall staff and facilities for rehabilitation...
  15. Is it just me that seems to see different media outlets reporting different possession stats for matches every week?
  16. Think I heard Mowbray say on Radio Lancs after the game that’s he’d pulled a thigh muscle.
  17. Exactly colt, so the hook may be coming...
  18. Talking to a lad from Warrington recently, thought he was Scouse until he told me. Southport and Ormskirk are the same. Was watching a WW1 documentary the other day, they were interviewing an owd Tommy from Ormskirk, he had a pure Lancastrian accent, they certainly don’t sound like that now!
  19. Sure I read something that said he’s known for strong starts and then his teams fall away due to the intensity of his methods catching up.
  20. Not with the young ‘uns though I find, plus the Scouse accent seems to be perturding further and further north. The Johnny Vegas St Helenser is a dying breed...
  21. Our whole style of play is very dependent on that Graham focal point, which is what probably keeps him in the side even when his form drops. Nobody is undropable though and I imagine the manager is giving it serious thought...
  22. 12,847 with 600 odd away. So about 12,200 home fans. We are consistently 2,000 up on last season and about 500-1,000 up on early season. Which is ok and we can’t expect much more considering how disappointing season ticket sales were. Let’s hope we sell plenty of half STs to further boost the crowds post Christmas.
  23. Didn’t feel like it on the train back from Brentford, but relegation has reinvigorated the club. It was all getting very stale, even before Coyle. The club now seems to have a plan from the academy upwards, with professional people in situ, young English talent signed up for actual cash, players swiftly signed up to new deals, the community work, the social media output and so on all seems vastly improved. Away followings are at a consistently higher level than we’ve had for years. We just now need to seriously work on improving season ticket sales. End of the day, the fact we are doing the business on the pitch is what puts a gloss on everything else, and therefore Mowbray was a master stroke. It’s been a largely horrendous decade, but for the first time since I saw the news they’d sacked Sam, I don’t get a knot in my stomach when I think of the club’s future and that must mean we are on the right track!
