  1. Right now we are not good enough to compete in this division, thats obvious isn't it? I'm not spoiling for a row BankEnd, but this side isn't good enough, we've lost the last 3 games and been well beaten, never looked like scoring, much of the same will follow if we don't strengthen and quick.
  2. In the morning when you read back your posts you’ll probably come to the same conclusion.
  3. It’s still 1975 in burnley for the most part and the population like to celebrate that fact. Sorry to hear about your experiences with the land that time forgot.
  4. Losing 3 on the bounce tells us we deserve nothing, we need new recruits, quality additions and quick or it’s a relegation battle fast approaching.
  5. Far to ambitious for our owners, wanted a back room team he relies upon and a modest budget to make us competitive. Sorry Carlos we have an academy to run, the football club isn’t important to us.
  6. They’re hamstrung by the carrier pigeon coming back from Pune. Is the penny starting to drop yet Simon?
  7. Maybe he was a crook? Would only work with an agent that feathered his nest, gave him kick backs on every deal, reduced the player pool, robbed fans of seeing better players? The ironic thing is Venkys then adopted the same policy and the rest is history......
  8. The may well suite the Brfcs narrative, but its a load of bollox. The problems at this football are and will always be of the owners making. We have a decent manager in place, but as with every manager appointment, we tie one hand behind his back, its a disgrace, it really is.
  9. You didn’t got to Old Trafford a few weeks before he was sacked then?
  10. You’ve posted some rubbish this week but that just about takes the biscuit. The guy needs backing, the owners are once again failing to support the manager, nothing new here… Venkys out.
  11. Mowbray going to Sunderland.
  12. Started like we left off at Sheff United. This current side will go down, we need reinforcements and quick.
  13. Sounds about right doesn’t it 🙄
  14. We've read a lot of bullshit posted over the past few seasons about the backroom team, Benson in particularly, well here's the real inside story from someone who knows: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20781950.coaching-consistency-key-blackburn-rovers-no-1-thomas-kaminski/ It was really important for me,” Kaminski said of Benson staying on. “Since day one I’ve had a really good connection with me. “He’s always been honest with me, telling me where to improve, so he’s definitely not telling me every day how good I am, but he’s telling me every day what I need to improve which is important for me “He tells me the truth which is important.” Kaminski has welcomed the new approach under Jon Dahl Tomasson in what he described as a ‘European’ coaching style. But keeping continuity within the goalkeeping department is something the Belgian has welcomed. He said: “I think that part of consistency is important I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks that. “The other goalie’s find that important. “Ben is an ambitious person, very intense with us which is exactly what we need, what I need.”
  15. Got a bottle of Whispering Angel Rosé (Cotes de Provence, France 2021) ready for the ice bucket after the football, win, lose or draw. Not usually my tipple to be honest, Mrs bought a case back in June, lovely stuff, 6 bottles didn't last long!
  16. The 3 stooges in Pune, who clearly live in a parallel universe to the rest of us as the last 12yrs have shown. “We have a young team here, and also a great academy, and the owners have a clear vision, which is to develop players and become a sustainable Premier League club over time, so I’m really happy to be involved in this exciting new chapter,” Tomasson said.
  17. Thanks Islander, I'd forgotten about Brittain. Hyam deal not done as yet according to papers, its takes us an inordinate amount of time to get deals over the line.....
  18. Have we actually signed anyone else other than the lad from Peterborough?
  19. England superb today on a glorious barmy Old Trafford day. 250+ lead should be enough, fingers crossed.
  20. Classing wages as part of this football clubs budget shows how far we've fallen, it really does. We all remember back in 2011/12 these owners basically sacking club legends "To bring wages under control" another abject failure from the Pune morons. Apathy or ambition? Blackburn or Middlesbrough, Venkys or Gibson........
  21. Its a dark art this running a football club, who knows what money goes where, be it Armstrong's £10m+ or the training ground bonus bonanza.... K-Hods point about reinvesting is a valid one, even a small amount could have seen us into the playoffs last season, but no it was kept in the safe, as I suspect the BBD money will be too.
