  1. what about the cross into the box where the Stanley's defender almost put into his own net?
  2. Rovers said they want a centre back signing great point and one being completely overlooked by some. Also Carter is 25 years old and is no longer a young player but someone who is experience at this level. He has 89 championship games. his medical has shown some problems so he has gone back to Switzerland now whilst Rovers look further into the medical and the problems behind. Probably could re-negotiation the fee we are paying and instead of paying the fee over 2 or 3 payments, make these clauses based on appearances and how he does here
  3. But if Brittain does leave then we need to replace him like for like? You Montgomery played there and did very well and got high up the pitch with Ribeiro took in making its a 3-4-2-1 when attacking. Montgomery is young and he almost got an assist when he did cross the ball into the box and Stanley player knock it against the bar. he was cramp in the same area as his previous injury so took him as precaution and will go for a scan this week when we were playing 3 at the back under JDT
  4. Montgomery was the stand out yesterday. Tyjon did well and I see him being a part of this season squad. Movement is good. Only 16/17 but we need to bring through to our squad
  5. what is top championship striker and can you give me some examples of that? Why is Ohashi only decent? I would still like to sign another attacking right back to replace Brittain if he is actually going Seems like we waiting to see if Legia go through their qualifier game before we sign a centre back, Kapuadi is their first choice. I would be moving on and go for someone who we can sign this week and play in our pre season games. still need another right back, centre back, another forward and right side winger.
  6. Montgomery look very good in the way he got high up the pitch and gave us the width wide right, similar to Brittain like. I would still like another right back bringing in like Cody Drameh with Championship experience and I would move him to midfield where he can be the box to box midfielder I thought his interview was very clear and straight to the point. Sounds like he wants Travis, Tronstad and Hyam contracts sorting out quick. He is right by the way.
  7. He could have been earning more for the last 18 months if he had signed a new contract around 8-10k a week but also you are missing the role with the team structure and the fact he was key player under Eustace and Ismael. What has he got now? still out of contract and what's his next move to? Also what you don't repeatably factoring into your thinking every time that Dolan and his agent will have know for the 6 months he wasn't going re-sign here, so his agent surely would have been putting feelers out to other clubs yet 13 days after he officially left us he is still no club, training on his own and we all wonder what offers he is getting tbh. I wouldn't be surprise if he ended at Derby or Bristol City cos of the lack of offers overseas. I was fan of Brittain before he joined us and I say he was the right type of attacking full back we should be signing. We signed Brittain 3 years ago and last summer we should have been tying down Brittain, Travis and Tronstad not leaving it so and now within the last 12 months we are now scrambling to get new contracts sorted. Brittain will be huge miss and we will miss his attacking and defensively attitudes
  8. well bowled England in those hot humid weather conditions
  9. Blackburn Rovers contract latest as impasse continues | Lancashire Telegraph
  10. He knew for months he was leaving Rovers. By now he should have had next move sorting and dusting. the fact he hasn't suggest that the offers he expecting or advised would be there hasn't materialise for whatever reason. I think he should have a sign contract 18 months ago and be a key player in this team I'm off to Stanley now to watch Rovers
  11. Brittain won't feature, big fan of his so I hope we can get in to sign a new contract here. Yes Brittain did say that btw what do you expect Jackson if Rovers haven't why? Been spot on about a range of things and should we not be closing down people in the know
  12. If he had, why hasn't he took one? Wages demands too high or just not highly rated as we think by others It's the July and he has been training without a club for 12 days now. What is he pondering to be honest? Starting to look like another Nyambe situation.
  13. Why hasn't he signed for one then? No pre season done. The length you are going to defend him is bizarre to say
  14. Not what I said by the way. I said it's a squad league and you need 24/25 players at this level was my point.. We have signed players by all account that suit how Ismael wants to play. Yes I would like to sign another Szmodics but let's not forget the reaction on here when he signed and how people went out their way to say he was poor signing. How he proved them wrong.. So yes I would pay the money for the highly rated Ethan Pye. And yes I would offer Callum Brittain, Sondre Tronstad and Lewis Travis new long term contracts. We did under JDT and Ismael. Took it to the last day. Mowbray's best season came when he had smaller squad, less options and not overthinking the team selection
  15. Good luck Joe and hope you have a good career post Rovers
  16. So where are all the contract offers from clubs? why is without a club still? I would be gutted if he left. Always been a big fan of him. Rovers should have got the contracts situation of Brittain, Travis, Tronstad sorted 12 months ago.
  17. Football is a squad game nowadays and it is more than just the starting 11 but we are adding what Ismael wanted which is pace and athleticism to this squad. I don't want marquee signings but players who fit into how we want to play Abit like you do every week over Forshaw or other things. Paranoid? 😂 clueless comments. same old comments just a different day yet we have been challenging for playoffs for the past 3 seasons over 4 seasons. I can't give my opinions on these players we signed cos I haven't seen them play and so no I can't give any proper opinion. Rovers seem to be targeting specific qualities in players to suit Ismael's tactics
  18. And? Good bargains out there if you scout for a range of fees like Tronstad on a free or Dolan on a free or Szmodics for 2.5m or Brittain for £1m And? Irrelevant. Its about the quality of player we sign and the fee paid doesn't determine how good the player will be. Some people are more obsessing over the fees than anything else No one comment of player did we
  19. He had his medical yesterday so maybe has shown up in the medical.. No I wouldnt. I think of nominal fee has 50 to 75k. We make some great low cost signings like Samba at 400k, Nzonzi at 500k or Nelsen on a fee. And that was in the PL days
  20. Our budgets is for players that suits how Ismael's style and formation. Football is a squad players. Nominal fee?
  21. Football clubs are private businesses at the end of the day. I wouldn't swap Uncle Jack's time as Rovers owner for owt, transform the club, town and community. Build us Ewood Park, training ground, academy, etc.. Uncle Jack wasn't the problem one jot. He ran the club professionally and investment in the club exactly how we want our Rovers but in the modern era
  22. Let's hope so. XG? 🤣 I wonder if Ryan Alebiosu will play higher up sometimes on right winger with Brittain at right back. Or targeting players that suits how Ismael wants to play and within our budget. Ismael wanted pace and athleticism in his team for this season. That's what we have signed. Would like to another permanent signing in the Centre back. Then a loan forward and winger
