  1. Well Strauss worked as Cricket pundit on Sky Sports for 2 years between 2013 to 2015. Key has plenty of cricket knowledge and experience. This is Cricket role first and one where he needs to make cricketing decisions. You only need to listen to comments how he would split the coaching role, change the county first class structure, etc. No one will be prolific on playing seamer friendly wickets. Yes must aren't worth cos of the crap pitches they are playing on and far too much cricket is played. Parkinson is worth in place in the Lancashire team and now he is the best spinner in the country so play him in all test matches this year and give him a proper chance
  2. well Coyle was replace within 24 hours didn't we? No surprise with you. Cos maybe the players know about it and Joe Rothwell has told his father who told some Rovers on the train journey down to Coventry? A poster on here told the forum this last week
  3. Any rumours of who will take over permanent? What your view of the decisions by the current owners to get rid off of alot of staff including your chief scout and technical director? what been the talk between Burnley of Pace's decision to sack Dyche and his staff?
  4. But Swann didn't have the control in his early part of career when the same age as Parkinson;. Leg Spinners have less control have less control than finger spinners but leg/wrist spinners get more spin and wickets. Surely we should play our best spinner which is Matt Parkinson so why not play and back him? England coaches and people struggle to embrace wrist spinners at all levels Didn't Strauss do an excellent job as England MD? Key has plenty of county and international cricket plus knows his cricket. If you have listen to Sky Sports Cricket pundits over the past 6 months, he has come up with some good ideas like revamping the county cricket structure of the game, Splitting the coach job because of the different formats, where their teams are and what each squad knows. Tom Hanies from Sussex have been in form. Josh Bohannon from Lancashire
  5. I sit in NO2 and I have no problem seeing things from my viewpoint. Blackburn End for home fans Darwen end for away fans Part of Riverside fans who want a stand on view from the side of the pitch But it all comes from the demand from supporters if there is one
  6. I would only put safe standing area in no1 part of the Blackburn End. then one in the Darwen end and the Riverside stand
  7. Who ever what they will come this summer under a new manager. We will see in the summer. I don't expect Mowbray and we have heard from 2 different people that Mowbray and Venus have deals at WBA line up according to Joe Rothwell's father. Always looking negative and dour at things. I gave a good logical list of players that would cost the earth and would be sensible and good signings. But we need better players if we are going for promotion next season Mowbray should be shown the door as soon as possible. I would put Johnson in charge for the last 3 games with Dunn and Sheron as his assistants. If he was sacked Today/tomorrow night I would look to appoint his replacement in a month. Given that I would look at managers are under contract and its unlikely they would leave their club before the season ends.
  8. I wouldn't put a safe standing in the Blackburn End apart NO1 part And how much profit is being made by them? Mike Ashley came to the Hyndburn area and stay at the Dunkenhalgh hotel. Same with football team stayed there
  9. mostly the same team that played at Norwich apart from 2 changes I think
  10. Yes interesting is the right word in my opinion but it depends on your point of view. The playing squad will need 8 to 10 signings but I think a freshen up of the playing squad and the management team is exactly what the club after the past 2 years of not achieving at least playoff place. Last season we should have got top 6 given the financial backing Mowbray has and this season we should have got top 6 given we were second in the league after beating Boro at home. Missing out on the top 6 this season is utter and completely unacceptable. Brereton might go or he might who knows. If Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell want to go then thanks for your efforts and we move on as a club. I stop worrying about players leaving and being behold to players after Shearer left in 96.
  11. Thanks for the reply Miller11. I don't see how Blackburn need another hotel and conference centre.. Rovers should not let the Riverside stand rot at all but look to improve it and maybe created a standing area there.
  12. why would the club want the Riverside to be condemned for?
  13. Rovers losing doesn't normal spoil anyway but the latest defeat to Peterborough annoyed me all Friday afterwards and Saturday daytime. It will be very interesting summer for Rovers including a number of signings and new management team to bring in for the club
  14. I picked in my team before the game but after his booking it was a car crash waiting to happen. Mowbray should have been more proactive and made the sub straight away
  15. If he thinks that then he should have bought a striker in January like you have said. He is just going through his blame game book again and blaming everyone but himself and his stubborness to adapt his tactics, formation and coaching staff. Yes he signed Hedges but not won't start him so why sign him so quickly. Friday debate was a cock up from start to finish in the main, wrong team and formation pick, no passion or desire from the players or Mowbray all game, The players he bought on was right but if he was taking Edun off at half time when not do before he was sent off.
  16. Lambert bought in with him Alan Irvine, Rob Kelly and Goalkeeper coach Laurence Batty
  17. Here are people who have left them since the new owners came in and it include people like MIke Rigg and Burnley chief scout Martin Hodge. Training Ground Guru | Head Physio Alasdair Beattie leaves Burnley after 12 years Also Dyche is still in talks over his payoff he will received from there. Sean Dyche remains in talks with Burnley over FIFTEEN million contract settlement | Daily Mail Online Yes it's a massive gamble but it appears that behind the scenes things weren't as well people think. Burnley state of play, managerial process and how Sean Dyche sacking unfolded - LancsLive As for Dyche's replacement, I still expect a Foreign manager who has no experience of Premier League to be appoint there. I think their owners will have agents after agents contacting them suggesting this manager and that manager.
  18. Spurs and Arsenal both losing yesterday were a surprised but after watching highlights of both games they deserve to lose cos they were awful. Its like no one wants to finish 4th this season
  19. Well the late Shane Warne rated Parkinson rated him. Maybe we should listen to a all time great? Parkinson is the best spinner in the county game so play him. Swann didn't have that skill when he first broke into the test squad in South Africa but as time and playing games he develop this skill. Maybe Parkinson will do the same,
  20. I have what my belief was at the time Lambert was there and he know what was need to get us promotion. Whether we would have done is a million dollar question we will never get the answer to.
  21. Exactly Paul. He has done a decent job but he doesn't have the required quality to sustain and maintain our promotion hope and tactical awareness to achieve Promotion push over a complete season What a load of tosh you talk. Mowbray is nowhere near leaving this club in the mess that Coyle and Kean left this club. We need a new manager who will put the fight and passion back into the players and the club for next season. Cos currently I see very little of this from the current squad in recent games. Didn't you say Mowbray was joining WBA to replace Ismael in February? Well its good to know that their commentators are telling it has it is. I guess these Rovers TV commentators? Yes it was great team to watch and a side that played passion, pride and for the shirt. But Hughes change his tactics during that season after we were beaten by Larissa and Portsmouth he changed to 4-2-3-1 with Tugay and Mokenna in centre midfield, Derbyshire wide right, Bentley has a 10, Pedersen wide left and Santa Cruz up front. The next game we won 2-1- Away at Sunderland. Mowbray need to adapt and change his tactics otherwise we win against Stoke on Easter Monday.
  22. Time for Mowbray and the players to step up tomorrow and put in a good overall passionate and desire performance and get the win. Far too many times Rovers are slow to start games and don't play with get in their faces attitude. We need to press high, work alot harder for the shirt and don't forget what the badge says and stand for. Mowbray need to drop the back 5 boll0cks and go back to playing 4-2-3-1 formation. So my team would be Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Wharton Pickering Travis Johnson Dolan Buckley Brereton Gallagher
