  1. Rooney has committed to Derby and even turned an approach from Everton to replace Benitez as manager there.
  2. It feels like that where I sit at Ewood Park in Blackburn End that its time for a change cos Mowbray hasn't got us promoted to PL despite being backed with money for transfer fees and wages. Doesn't surprised me that tbh.
  3. I emailed the club on Monday and received a reply on Monday afternoon Don't know. Just posted what the reply said
  4. I posted my reasons yesterday but I have very clear in previous posts when asked if I would take Dyche here before he sacked and I haven't change my view on him. No Thanks. I still wouldn't want him here. simple as. That my opinion but I think far too many Rovers fans aren't thinking logically and have got giddy over Dyche being available now. His wages at Burnley were around 5 to 7 million I have read so do you honestly think he is going to come for the wages we pay Mowbray or his replacement.
  5. Rovers should be starting the search for Mowbray's replacement today. Waggott, Pasha and Silvester should be talking to footballing people and interview potential candidates plus advertising the Head of recruitment role at the club cos it appears John Park will follow Mowbray through the door this May/June. I would like the Club to appoint a director of football first but I don't think Rovers will do this. I have given some names in previous posts. Managers like Neil Critchley from Blackpool, Paul Warne from Rotherham, Gareth Ainsworth from Wycombe, Alex Neil from Sunderland if we want a manager. If we were to go down the Director of Football/ head coach structure then for head coach role I would be looking at Damien Johnson, Ryan Mason from Spurs, Jason Wilcox from Man City or Rob Edwards at Forest Green Rovers to fill this position. Try to find the next Steve Cooper or Neil Critchley. I wish Rovers have gone for Steve Cooper in the summer but he now at Forest and he is no longer with that certain agency and according to my research he is Football agency CAA Base. If we are only going to use a certain agency then either Mark Robins or Rob Edwards. Other people have mention mention Liam Manning at MK Dons or Danny Cowley at Portsmouth. I think Cowley would be good. Don't know anything about Liam Manning at MK Dons but will be watching their game tonight on Sky. You can look overseas manager but I have very limited knowledge of that market so I have unable to provided any suggestions unless they have managed in their championship like former Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen or Former Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi or Former Barnsley head coach Gerhard Struber.
  6. Season ticket prices should be announce next week according to an email I received from the club on Monday. Has Mowbray has said repeatedly that there is no discussions going on between him and club over a new contract.
  7. It appears that Dingles don't have anyone line up before the sacked him which is a massive mistake by their hierarchy. Its appears they want Allardyce to come in and save them. Not sure he will come back but I have seen Talksport reported that Bilic is interested in the job there. I think that is excellent suggestion or someone like WBA or QPR.
  8. Rob Key is set to appoint as the new England director of cricket next week. Also looks like Ottis Gibson and Mark Robinson could be potential head coach candidate and Paul Farbrace could be the new national selector Joe Root: England captain deserved to go out on his own terms before ECB sacked him | Daily Mail Online Joe Root resigns: Rob Key set to be appointed director of cricket and will lead search for new captain (inews.co.uk)
  9. From what was posted on here it appears we spoken to Alex Neil, Nathan Jones, Tony Pulis and Chris Wilder. Maybe the people wh posted that info could confirm that is the right 4 names I have switch my focus and thinking who we could appoint to replace Mowbray in the summer. There is plenty of good realistic candidates out there who could get challenging next season for promotion
  10. maybe we won't that certain agency again given the people posted we spoke 4 managers last summer about taking over and I believe none are with that agency. We will see in the summer who we appoint
  11. I don't see alot of candidates out there I want here. If in fact my list of people I don't want here is longer tbh the Coates family are very loyal people. Who said Dyche is even ready to return to management right now or in then summer. Plenty of people are guessing as per usual
  12. Mike Atherton, Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan all backing Ben Stokes to replace Joe Root as England test Captain. Also some interesting comments by Nasser Hussain when people compare Stokes to Botham or Flintoff, And Mike Atherton on people suggesting a Mike Brearley type of appointment. Fellow former England captains Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain agree with Vaughan that Stokes is the ‘obvious’ candidate to take over the side. ‘You’ve got to pick somebody who is worth his place in the side,’ Atherton told Sky Sports. ‘I think the days are long gone where you could have a Mike Brearley-type figure, who wouldn’t necessarily be a first-choice pick. ‘Just because of the scrutiny, you need to be worth your place in the side, so Ben Stokes is the obvious candidate.’ Hussain added: ‘For me the obvious candidate is Ben Stokes. People say, “Oh, Ben Stokes”, do you know what happened to [Andrew] Flintoff and [Sir Ian] Botham? ‘Ben Stokes is not Flintoff and he’s not Botham, don’t judge him by how other people have done. ‘Stokes has done some phenomenal things as a cricketer and has a very smart cricket brain. He showed that when he’s taken over occasionally from Joe Root.’ Michael Vaughan names the 'only option' to replace Joe Root as England captain (msn.com)
  13. Well if your opinion is that Dyche is a realistic candidate to replace Mowbray but I think I have been very clear why I wouldn't want him here and that I think he is unrealistic choice. no idea
  14. Haven't Stoke Owners recently backed Michael O'Neill for next season? Would anyone take Michael O'Neill here as Mowbray's replacement? I think Michael O'Neill did a great job with Northern Ireland and I have surprised that he has not got Stoke into the top 6 so far given their squad there
  15. Well I knew plenty about him from his England coaching days and he won the under 17's world cup with England. Given that he was at Swansea for 2 years and he got them into the playoffs twice I would expect most footballing fans on here would know him. He is far from relative unknown but I watched alot of football and read alot about it. I guess whether you follow alot of football news outside of your club. I would suggested it more to do with the financially impact on the club if they do get relegation. Burnley ownership model cannot work in the championship
  16. You cannot absolve the players of any of the responsible of this current form and They need fair share of the blame. Where is the passion from the players in recent games cos I have seen none. It is simple not good enough and the last 2 games have felt like pre-season games at times. Depend on that club and who it is. I can't see Venkys letting Mowbray go to India at all. Mowbray has been very clearly that no contract talks have taken place and given that Pasha is here. If we don't go up then I don't see any new contract for him. Mowbray and the players have not been good enough over the season and the last 3 months form has been utter and totally disappointment and I am still annoyed/angry right now cos I know we have blow out bet chance of going up in years. Mowbray has not been good enough and we need a new man in the 1st team managerial seat for next season.
  17. The players should know how to defend and currently our defence is woeful. Take the players take some responsible for their pathetic performance in recent weeks.
  18. I am livid and annoyed tonight. This performance was simply not good enough for most of the game. Brereton took his chance well and scored. Defensively we were bloody awful. It is now acceptable and whether it back 5 or back 4 we are so open and no leadership on the pitch or from Mowbray on the touchline. After we scored we should be defending for our lives and keeping it solid as rock. If we had this we win that game and are 6th in the league. Instead we are wide open and lose. Now 8th. Our Defence was solid as rock during our winning/unbeaten spell but now our defence is wide open and I could drive a London Bus through those gaps. This form is simple unacceptable and our playoffs hope have gone now. We need to start thinking of next season and who we will appoint as Mowbray's replacement. We need someone who knows what the club means like Ainsworth or find the next Steve Cooper someone like Ryan Mason or Jason Wilcox.
  19. In recent weeks I have changed my views as I explained to you Sunday or Monday I think my reasons for changing my opinion
  20. That was awful to watch. The back 5 isn't solid or tight enough when it should be. Far too relaxed on the ball, no passion or effort from any of the players. You would think we had nothing to play for at times. Feel for Nyambe getting subbed to be honest. didn't deserve that really. Now Mowbray has gone for 4-3-2 formation with Gallagher and Brereton. But when we play 5 at the back he wants to play Buckley as false 9 instead of going 5-3-2 with 2 main strikers and Buckley, Travis and another in midfielder. Edun deserved the red card for 2 stupid fouls. no sympathy for him. With Sheffield United losing Rovers need to win this game. It will be a big summer cos we need to recruit a new manager/head coach and head of recruitment plus around 8 to 10 signings. On Point 2, We have moved to this formation but Buckley in centre mid with Travis and Johnson. But with Mowbray we all know he could change formation and we lose it
  21. Gallagher deserved to start this game given he was the man of the match in the last and played well. The back 3 should have been dropped by now but Mowbray has ever being stubborn. why would Rooney turned down the Everton manager job 3 months ago to stay loyal to Derby. Plus Derby are set to take over by Chris Kircher. So why would he go to Burnley?
