Could Rovers have a behind closed doors game organised for the 2nd of August but not announce anything? Fulham could be option for pre season game, They don't have a game that weekend.

No one has gone over the top with the comments, no one has said we win the league but we witnessed a good performance against a PL team and some of us cautiously optimistic for the season whilst recognising we still need 3 or 4 more signings for the season. So what was wrong with anyone's comments who attended the game?

I'm not doing another debate over Hedges with yourself and Others for the million time. It's was just suggestion of mine. It's very clear how Ismael wants us to play formation wise and style of play with the ball and without. So I find your comment abit weird unless you disagree that's how we want to play

I want a right sided attacking player suits that's suits how we play. Hedges kept drifting inside and Brittain provided the width mainly from the right side. That's what Ismael wants

Some good players there for league 1 and 2 clubs. I agree Buckley need to move on and find a club he can play regular at. Watching today's game, I was thinking who we could sign who could play a similar type of role and I thought of Luton player Tahith Chong, whether we can afford him, I don't honestly know but he has that quality we need

A very good performance 1st half as my half time summary posted said. The first 15 minutes or so we can carry that second half. We created several opportunities to attack the Everton backline until the final ball wasn't good enough. After we made 8 subs around the 60 mins then another 3 15 mins later, we became abit disjointed and our high performance dipped abit but the understanding of what their roles were and how we wanted to play where still there to see. We still created some good chances. Tyjon did play a lovely good pass to Millarkey-Matthews who couldn't get the shot off. Karbgo look lively. overall, We had an identity to the team, style and how we want to play, we were well organised and drilled tactically. The players understand their roles within the team. what Ismael wants. Ismael spent time post match on the pitch speaking with Igor Tyjon about his performance. Cautiously optimistic for the fore coming season well worth the tenner it cost to attend and even bought the away shirt post game, Its really smart looking Toth look good, Brittain, Hyam and Wharton very good. Cantwell looks a different player to last one, De Neve look good. took his goal well. my match of the man was Todd Cantwell.

Ohashi isn't a target man type you seem to want but Ohashi is quality and he has shown it. Him and Cantwell suites each other. We aren't looking to play target man type football but looking to pass the ball more and created more. We actually look threatening from Set pieces

We can cautiously optimistic for the season overall. Yes we need some more signings before the window ends but we have good nuclear of a good championship squad. Need abit of quality and depth now

Impressive first half from us.. Good well work goal. Brittain has been Impressive. Committed. Wharton has the better of Beto all game. Cantwell looks much fitter than last season. Big season from him.. Tactical, whenever Toth has the ball in his hands or goal kick, Hyam Wharton and Ribeiro become a back 3, Tronstad and Travis in front, with Brittain high wide on right De Neve high wide on left, cantwell and Hedges has 10's with Ohashi as the 9. We look very well organised, players understand their roles and we look fit

Pleased to see Brittain in. I would say it's down to understand how we play and what is expected from him.

If you mean you want another striker option with Ohashi and Gueye then I agree here

Unhealthy reliance? More cliches again. If you good enough you are older enough. I wanted Brittain to stay overall. Over a season injuries will happen but so far I like what I see in Montgomery. We been left short in centre midfielder area over the last couple of years so having 5 options at least cover that. I am NOT going and going Forshaw being here every week. You are like a broken record tbh

Thanks. Ismael has praised Montgomery alot recently and he seem a big fan of him. I wonder if we will go for centre back given his comments about Wharton and Carter's injury. Interesting comments about loan players. There is upside to loaning players in but also a downside. Ismael's comments seem to suggest he thinks the negatives outweigh the positives. I think a couple of quality loans can push higher in the league and worth it if you got quality loans in. If you bring in average players on loan, might aswell use the academy players surely?

We have Yuki Ohashi. Did excellent in his first season and played 6 months before in Japan. He would have 13/14 goals if not for the injury he got. We need to be more goal threat from set pieces also
