  1. You can scout players on the web through programs like Wyscout, etc. We still scout Europe for players but given the work permit rules now we are less focus on it. Plus with programs like Wyscout, etc to scout players We didn't sack him but not renew his contract given the new rules around players from Europe and the rules needed for work permit. Did we really need a head of European Scouting? no we didn't. We still have plenty of scouts at Rovers
  2. its a great effort by everyone attending the game. With plenty of people off on Boxing day its ideal time for people to be attend away game
  3. All depends what and how the last injury happened and how Andrew Proctor Ibrahim Kerem and Craig Holding has worked with his rehabilitation program with the latest injury Well that's where we have a different opinion cos I don't Nyambe as natural wing back tbh, but JRC is IMO and its a role Ive seen him previous seasons for under 23's when Johnson and Dunn was in charge. on maybe signing someone for that position, would you a striker or right wing back is more of priority in this window? But we have Kharda and Dolan who you say is are wingers but are playing as front 2. So what's the different? Also we need plan B option and I would guess that we might go back to playing 4-3-3 at some point. Plus Rovers seemed very impressive by him so maybe he might be good enough for the PL.
  4. Its not pointless at all. Hopefully he will be ease back and will take a different approach. He is perfect for this wing back role and going forward if he can stay fit he will be starting for me. But you need a plan B or different options. Can't just stick Plan A especially if injuries or lost of form happen which it could in the coming months. Also only last week you were in favour of Rovers continuing to sign players regardless of Mowbray's future. now you back track. Plus he could play the number 10 role or even the one of forward role. Who knows but Rovers have been after him for the last 5 months. Do Aberdeen want to sell tho?
  5. Rovers are monitoring the progress of Lincoln City's Anthony Scully and Portsmouth's Marcus Harness. Rovers may miss out on is John Souttar with Stoke City understood to be in pole position to land the Hearts central defender. Ryan Hedges, Josh Maja and Blackburn Rovers transfer state of play ahead of January window - LancsLive
  6. What about a plan B or if we change formation and play an extra attacker instead 3 at the back? I have always been a fan of couple of different formations being used during a season like many other clubs do so why not us If we go up then we have a squad player for next season and maybe he can step up and perform to the higher standard. It was simple question I posed. I believe Rovers are still very interested in Maja and given that Mowbray doesn't like to move on from key targets. I guess we will hope JRC stay fit and he is back in training now. I can see people wanting in a right wing back but do you have any suggestions?
  7. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope everyone has Happy New Year! COYB!
  8. I can't see Brighton recalling the players at this stage given that they will learn more whilst playing regular here. Plus I believe that their sporting director Dan Ainsworth is holding discussions with Newcastle about joining them as Sporting Director. So that could impact certain things at the club. I don't see Brereton being any factor in this given that he is our player and we have good chance of promotion a question for anyone, would you be happy if our 2 only incoming transfers were Tommy Doyle and Josh Maja both on loan in January? or do you think we need more? if so which position? And what do people think of offering Hedges a contract on pre contract terms to sign him in the summer? My own opinion is on Doyle I don't know enough about him to form an opinion but I would it be worth having both Clarkson and Doyle on loan here. Not sure on that. On Maja, if it a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer then I would tempt to do the deal given he is 22 years old, good player and someone I rated when at Sunderland. On Hedges pre contract potential deal, Rovers seem very keen on him and one they don't want to move on. I would if Poveda loan deal is cancel then could we do a deal in January. Possible depends on finances
  9. Maja would be Brereton replacement for next season I guess unless we get promote. Think a fit Maja would be asset to our promotion bid
  10. We see OldEwoodBlue but I don't see anything coming before 2022 if at all and Johnson will go back parliament for approval if so. Thats my opinion. I have set out my opinion in the thread of the Coronavirus
  11. No more further measures will be put in place before Christmas
  12. Matty, believe what you want but Parliament need to vote on any new measures including closing football stadiums
  13. that report is 3 months old and there is newer one in November but I don't any new rules being in place before New Year and given that PM Johnson and leader of the house Rees-Mogg have promised any new restrictions must go back Parliament first for a vote.
  14. The front 2 stay wide some of the time and move in central some of the time. They played looks for gaps around the wide centre backs and not playing against middle centre back in their back 3 on Saturday if his injury had clean up and he was match fit then gamble on him. Rovers might well take that risk.
  15. A vote is need on any new measures by Parliament
  16. I've been down to the Rovers club shop today and quite a few people getting FA cup tickets for Wigan including my missus for me as Christmas present
  17. I believe any new measures will required Parliament to vote in the measures which given that Parliament hasn't been recalled so far and it would take 2 days to recalled them then its like any new measures won't be in place until the new year. That's cos the Mayor of London is in charge of Trafalgar square new years event. Where Shutting down sporting events or pubs or restaurants would need a decision from Government then Parliament to vote
  18. Nixon said that we are looking at 2 loan signings. A forward and extra midfield. So I wonder if the forward will be number 9 type or someone who can the centre role and wide forward role.
  19. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year to your and your family
  20. Fair enough.. Here one for you to listen to.
  21. I believe Newcastle are chasing Tripper and Lingard who would be very good signings. Newcastle need 4 or 5 signings cos the weaknesses within the squad. Burnley need to be looking to a couple of players to sign. What did you think of my signings suggestions?
