  1. Sunderland playing with no recognised striker. Full Mowbray false 9 mode 😂
  2. Leicester look a good shout to go back up.. Leeds/Southampton nothing to be afraid of. Thought Sheff Weds looked very poor at weekend too.
  3. I thought Leonard was a prime example of that. Even in injury time, he was running the cb into the ground - and looked like he could do for another half hour. Maybe that's the benefit of some younger players. They're like Duracell bunnies.
  4. Enjoyed the game today. Didn't expect much and by christ they had some big lads. Negatives: Some very risky play at the back. We need to just clear it sometimes. Tronstadt (sp) looked well off the pace initially but did improve a little as the half went on. Dolan was awful. Positives: Great to see Markanday and leonard score. I was surprised to see Leonard has a decent turn of pace and really put himself about against 2 giants. Thought the centrebacks were superb. As a team, the work rate was excellent and when Wharton came on we played some scintillating stuff. The half volley through ball was unbelievable. Finally, I was delighted with how comfortably we saw out the last 9 minutes of extra time. Really good game management.
  5. If VAR gives that it also gives one for us second half. Think it might have been Sami who shot but it was going in and hit the defender's hand. It would have been a very harsh decision though.
  6. Didn't see the game but from the sound if it their wingers made the difference in an attacking sense. That lack of pace out wide for us is as much an issue as the striker.
  7. Sounds like what we all new - and what should have been addressed this window. Lack of pace and creativity. No striker. Poor left back.
  8. Ft: 0-0 Thats the banker bet for the season unless things change on the transfer front.
  9. slow team. Little goal threat. No issues addressed at all if we go into the first game with that line up.
