v Sunderland (h) - 20/9/23 - 19:45

It was all just so sloppy, you didn't need a £5/£10 million striker to bag some of those chances you needed a bit of composure. Especially the Leonard/Moran misses after the Sammie shot. The penalty was sloppy, Clarke's eyes lit up when Hedges drew his foot back to row 15 of the Blackburn End and he just made sure he got in the way. The defence was sloppy for the second in a half arsed closing down effort, but so was Pears as he seemed to let bounce over his arm when the shot wasn't far from him. Carter was sloppy for the third. Some of our passing when breaking was so sloppy, I remember very promising breaks collapsing from awful passes from Travis and Hedges. I thought our tactics seemed too gung ho, Sunderland were breaking on us at the start of the second half like it was the 89th minute. We needed the bench to take a breath and try to settle things. -

We've missed some chances but don't be fooled by that, Sunderland have had us chasing shadows out of possession they have wiped the floor with us. -

We are leaving space like it's the 89th minute!!! -

Agreed, it's a dangerous style when you are A) not taking your chances. giving the ball away lots in central midfield. -

We have been atrocious when they have been moving with the ball. -

Wharton needs to switch on here!! -
Out of interest, did the powers that be give a figure of how much is saved by closing the Blackburn End? This isn't a dig BTW.

Same as me, loads of buses from my school in Accy. I was absolutely hooked. -
There is cost cutting at a football club, but closing "the" home end is more than cost cutting. League two Accy Stanley wouldn't dream of closing the Clayton End but Blackburn Rovers who missed out on the play offs to the Premier League on goal difference 4 months ago will happily close the Blackburn End.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but there are some plays by people in power that just stink of trying to show dominance. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE. It cannot cost insane amounts to open the bottom tier of a stand to a professional football team. All this shows to me is somebody in power is flexing and saying I can do as I please.

Am I reading that right, you could essentially get 4 season tickets for buying 1 adult season ticket? That is incredible if correct. -
Whilst it's funny because it's Burnley, I just for the life of me cannot see that as handball. It hits the same part of the arm as the Forest goal ... I'm not complaining though!

Mr Kaminski didn't cover himself in glory for the Fulham goal today unfortunately.

I can't remember a time when we have created more chances than we have this season, it just so happens we do so when we have the weakest strength and depth up front. For large parts I thought we played very well, I actually expected Boro to be much stronger with the squad they have so fair play to the lads. We will have a good few of these games this season but we will also have a good few Plymouth's too I think. -

Ennis is becoming a bit of a worry, fans of Plymouth said he struggled with his fitness. The hope is we were well aware of this and giving him time to get fit enough to play in this team. -
With the added problem of 99p and a packet of chewing gum being given to the transfer budget from the sale.

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)

After a summer in which its safe to say any additional spending has very much been limited. It would be hard to think this chap has been sent in as their trusted finance chap, to find ways of getting more money into the club. As others have said, the hope is that his professional opinion is cut losses and sell. If they do that he will be my favourite ever Venkys appointment. -

If he could finish he would be deadly, the amount of chances he gets is incredible really. -

If I was looking to blame anybody I'd say fans would be pretty damn low on my list actually. We've now got the delight to put up with alongside having shite owners, the 3 people running the day to day (Sw, GB, JDT) seem to be as able as 3 under 6 years olds agreeing on what to do. Oh the joys of supporting Rovers! -

The weird thing is, the centre halves seem quite okay at Pears coming charging out and "trying" to sort the problem. It has ended disastrously on many occasions, somebody needs to take ownership when those long aimless balls get hoofed up ... Not Pears!! -

I read Nicklas Bendtners autobiography on holiday recently and he had quite abit to say about JDT and his use of the press. I can see quite a few examples of this, I think at times whilst maybe justified there is a big difference between being a player and being a manager when speaking to the press. -

We love to concede a deflected goal, Jeez!! -
Can only echo what I've said all season. I cannot ask anymore of the players or staff. They have an outstanding work ethic that I dare say most other clubs who have basket case owners could wish for. A message to the owners would be that JDT is their best hope of cutting ties with us. Some investment now could be the best thing they do to see the back of us.
