  1. Do you naturally miss the point or are you deliberately obtuse? Don't worry folks, he can't see my posts anyway. ?
  2. You said Chris Brown would be the next Shearer.
  3. The paradox of choice.
  4. Tosin is not the finished article but I would imagine he could walk into a lower-end PL club.
  5. Nemesis looks goofy and Jill looks like a man.
  6. There’s literally no difference.
  7. Are we sure this isn't the Mandela Effect? ?
  8. I was hyped when we signed Kevin Davies but I don't remember him ever having a good game for us. Similar to Brereton, he looked like a little boy lost and never made an impact. I think he scored four goals in one reserve game once but still couldn't do it for the first-team. He laboured under the weight of his £7m price-tag, picked up niggling injuries and went down with tonsillitis. His only goal was an absolute scuffer against Charlton. It wasn't until Allardyce reinvented him into a stereotypical targetman that he got his career back on track.
  9. Agreed. If Raya was worth £3m, how much will Walton cost with the English/PL premium? Let the scouting department earn their corn and find us a solid, unspectacular goalie.
  10. Mowbray was brought in to keep us up. He failed. There’s nothing revisionist about that.
  11. League One. Which is exactly where Mowbray took us. ?
  12. That's not exactly saying much, is it? It doesn't matter if he scored goals under Coyle. Ashley Ward scored a bunch for Kiddo. Didn't stop him being an overpriced donkey.
  13. Reminds me of towards the end of Souey's reign. He would play people like Jon Douglas, Grabbi or Matteo on the left-wing. We had Alan Mahon in the reserves but for some reason Souness was loath to pick him. I remember it drove @rover6 barmy!! Not that Mahon was Premier League quality but at least he would've balanced the side and wouldn't be another square peg in a round hole. Similar deal with Chapman. Is he going to set the Championship alight? Not necessarily but at least he's a proper right-winger.
  14. Does he still live in Derby? Wouldn't take any relocating to offload him onto a Midlands club. Finding one, however. Personally, I'd have a clean sweep. Too many rank-average players (or worse) taking up a wage. Problem is, we're relying on our crack team of negotiators to overhaul the squad. Unless this “European scouting” we've heard so much about will pay off, if it's not just another ponzi scheme at Rovers expense.
  15. What about trolling? Seems to be winding up everyone in every thread.
  16. When Chaddy hears too many home-truths it's onto the ignore list you go. It's the equivalent of him putting his fingers in his ears and going La la la la la la la la laaaa!”
  17. The club can take whatever disciplinary action they want but I can see why Chapman's grown disillusioned to the point of protest.
  18. Can't really blame Chapman for refusing to play in the U23s. Earlier in the season he did well for them, won player of the month, if I recall. Did he get a whiff of first team action? Did he balls. He’s made two cameos this season and looked half-decent in one of them. Never to be seen again, by the looks of it. Still not sure why we signed him in the first place. Mowbray clearly doesn't fancy playing with wingers because they're too “flighty” and don't learn the “seriousness of football”. Keep shoving Gallagher wide-right. That's bound to work eventually...
  19. If we had signed him, and anyone raised those concerns, you’d be saying “GET BEHIND HIM FFS!”
  20. Don’t be silly. No other manager on the planet could have us in midtable mediocrity for £12m. All hail Mowbray!
  21. We were obviously sold a dud. Mowbray’s man-management has left a lot to be desired but Brereton’s looked out of his depth in every cameo. What are his strengths? No one seems to know. There‘a obviously shenanigans still going on. Our last three managers having the same agent should be proof of that. Chapman and Brereton also came from the same stable.
  22. It couldn’t possibly lie with Mowbray, could it? Perish the thought!
  23. We're a bog average team with a bog average manager. Without Dack, Holtby or Rothwell there’s no spark. Armstrong is a speed demon, little else. For the sake of anyone’s sanity, forget about the playoffs. Another season of “stability”.
