You're being kind, I am being thick!
-
Is that a team of 13 players or am I being thick?
-
This is the fear----that TM has , to his credit, assembled a squad that looks capable of challenging for promotion but may not be able to manage it so that it performs at its best. Like Bowyer in fact. The best managers are somehow capable of creating teams that are better than the sum of their individual parts. Brian Clough is probably the best example. Sir Alex is another. When they left, or any of their players were transferred, those players never seemed to perform at their previous level. And, the obverse, particularly with Clough, players they signed seemed quite ordinary till he got to work with them. I agree TM is a plodder who doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Its incredible to me that he can continue to play Gally or Brereton wide. In truth he shouldn't be playing them at all and we should have a big, brooding presence in that penalty area who can fend off defenders and get the ball down to his smaller forwards, or actually score with a header, or who can shoot on sight with power. £12M should have got us someone at least remotely like that. When we play it always looks like something is missing up front.

Rothwell? Dolan? Edit--sorry forgot Rothwell is out. Perhaps you have a point!
-
And my opinion seems to be official!!
-
No-one expects the manager to have a 100% record but we expect £12M to be spent so much better than that. Especially when we are not exactly a rich club. Anyway, as I've said, he's done so much better with virtually no money I wouldn't blame them if the owners kept it that way.
-
You mean he's won the right to keep making the same mistake?
-
Lazy word is hate.
-
They'll play a part because they will be picked! However it won't be anywhere near proportional to their transfer fees.
-
If we had spent £12M on 2 decent strikers and then signed this lot we would be absolutely taking this league by storm wouldn't we?
-
OMG!!!!
-
If only they had kept Sam and thrown £200M at it when we were 10th in the Premier League......
-
You can't know that can you? We'll wait and see. I will anyway.
-
He won't get any more money from Venkys as he's proved he can do better without it than with it!
-
I thought he was going to be the 3rd man!
-
How often do you intend to make this point? its nearly 100 % of your posts isn't it?
-
She looks a handful!
-
Has done well particularly given limited cash. So, if we don't make TOP 6 at least, no excuses eh?
-
We don't need Downing.
-
Well that's true, I'm just using your own terminology to opine that I think Bannon is a really good player.
-
Whenever I've seen Bannon he's stood out as a class player, admittedly in the Championship. If we sold Holtby and bought Bannon I would not be going nuclear.

You're a walking contradiction Chaddy! You complain that people are complaining about the club and then ask if they've sent emails to the club or council complaining about the mess! -
No Rovers fan has ever said "just buy any left-back"----you've made that up. To go into a new season where we hope to at least threaten the top six with only one left-back and that a very vulnerable Bell is/would be a disgrace. We have known for a long time we needed keeper(s), centre-back and leg-back. Our defence was crap last season. Do you really think Bell will play 46 games? Any other club in the division risking that?
-
If we don't end up signing a left-back its a disgrace and will surely come back on us.

Exactly how I fail. Jack should have left a lasting legacy but its all been thrown away. His own family complicit too.
