  1. TBF its a perfectly valid argument to say that, when his selection options were restricted by injuries and he had no ability to tinker, we kept largely the same side and did better! Can't see any problem with that.
  2. if it doesn't work, and it doesn't, another reason to find a new manager.
  3. Without being able to trap it? This is fantasy.
  4. Propaganda from Mowbray, a stupid thing to tell him even if its true. You sign the player, then go from there. He preferred Preston, probably to do with wages I'm guessing.
  5. We are "all set with attackers" but Brereton, Gallagher and Samuel are not good enough.
  6. "skilful use" is, dependency is not.
  7. Hughes had the ability to get the best out of them. Ordinary players could excel. Particularly true of Kuqi.
  8. Its our best season since we are relegated so just enjoy it mate! Stop worrying, it'll be OK.
  9. I seem to remember she actually talked about "borrowing players from other clubs".
  10. And look how long it took us to get going this season! Not helped, of course, by changing the side every week.
  11. He must think we have no memory!
  12. Message to Steve Gibson-----we have just the man for you!
  13. Yep---Walton did his best but the ref wasn't having any of it!
  14. Sorry, doesn't look a straight red to me. I'd have been furious if a red card had been given against our player for this. Clashes are inevitable in football when 2 players go for the ball. I'd hate to see it become a non-contact sport.
  15. Checked it again. Walton moves to the left well before Ayew strikes the ball and his weight is transferred to that side making is simple for Ayew to roll it into the right side. Perfect pen from his point of view.
  16. You're doing the Straw Man thing again! I don't recall anyone posting that! Are you saying all the credit should be Tony Mowbray's? Many of us would have given them a go earlier, that's true. Were we wrong?
  17. Fair point. Who would have picked this one though? Does show anything can happen but I have personally accepted we won't make the play-offs. When we we are on the verge of something we invariably fail to take the opportunity. We could actually have won all those last three games but came up well short. Infuriating.
  18. Well I'll have to have another look!
  19. Disagree with that. Their penalty-taker slowed his run up and waited for Walton to move. Then he rolled in to the empty side of the net. Graham just hit his to the side he always intended without looking at the keeper. As you say their keeper guessed right and he had a 50-50 chance. Walton had no chance. Swansea guys was easily the superior penalty.
  20. Then you look at the Wigan result!!
  21. He's worse.
  22. Because he wanted to? Perhaps he finally couldn't contain himself any longer at the sheer stupidity of it.
