  1. Sorry----- Paul! Obviously! No-one has ever accused you of being ITK Rev!!
  2. No but you do have a superior ITK attitude which gets up my nose.
  3. General consent on here before the window opened was that the squad needed 6 players or so. And it did/does. Since we haven't come anywhere near that by the opening day of the season, I have no hesitation in saying that this transfer window is yet another failure, our defence is worse than last season, therefore we have no chance of promotion and we are looking at another season of tedium. It could get exciting if we fall into a relegation battle but I'd settle for tedium in that case. Really, really disappointed and must want my head read for expecting anything else.
  4. All I can say is that, if he does want promotion, he's going a funny way about it! He certainly doesn't want it as much as I do.
  5. The alibi is already written!
  6. Weather forecast?
  7. All true and look what we did with it! Got a temporary replacement who was worse! Genius! iI I were singled out week after week for the failings of the whole defence I'd want a move too!
  8. So bloody what? Plenty of us said it was a mistake to sell him last summer for £3M and that he'd be worth more in the future. You didn't think that though did you?
  9. Not this summer either.
  10. Don't worry, the floodgates will open!
  11. He's often got it wrong---you can't just look at the ones he signed, you also have to consider the ones he didn't pursue or missed. Particularly true of defence. The results have been very ordinary----never threatened the play-offs and finish around halfway.
  12. Yep. I'm convinced it will happen at some point. The longer this goes on the fewer supporters there will be left in a rebuild.
  13. We want and need to sign several players pretty bloody quickly. Waggot and Mowbray have always known when the season starts. You can't possibly spin this fiasco into some moral crusade on Rovers part. Its incompetence.
  14. We all know the money is paid in instalments, therefore we are committed to pay what we signed up for and therefore its not available to us for any other purpose. Its fully accounted for unless the add-ons don't turn out. In the case of these two, that's highly likely because they're not very good. Will that do?
  15. Yes! Like politicians who say "let me be clear..." and then go on to weave a statement which is unfathomable.
  16. NOBODY believes we paid £7M up front. Haven't done that since the early 90's and Jack.
  17. And I'm worried we might be one of them unless the defence is sorted. Season starts Saturday.
  18. Still paying instalments I guess.
  19. Middle ground then? Mowbray has received half clarity from India! I would believe that.
  20. Who would prefer Mowbray as manager over Warnock Chaddy? Not many I think.
  21. He could be resigned to it, he couldn't be happy surely? He specified the need to get one (or was it two CB's?) weeks ago.
  22. The Duke of Wellington, inspecting his troops before Waterloo famously said "I don't know what effect they have on the enemy but By God they terrify me!" And that's how I feel about our defence, which, without Toisin, is undoubtedly weaker than last season. And how many goals did we concede last season? Utter lunacy that we haven't sorted this. I don't think we'll be relegated with that squad but we will struggle without signings and may well be dragged towards the relegation zone. After that, how many of our young mid-fielders will we keep?
  23. and how many points will we have by then?
  24. See this: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/28/bournemouth-sign-joshua-king-blackburn-rovers That what I was going on. Anyway it was a balls-up and we should never have allowed him out of contract. We certainly didn't get what he was worth.
  25. You're probably right (sigh)!
