You're dangling the possibility of Hanley returning as a cause for optimism when you know full well there is no evidence at all that he will! We all know that if various players we would like Rovers to sign are signed we have cause for optimism! But it won't be that way will it? I could list the names of several players who might be available and might come to us but I won't because its pointless and false. In fact, its highly likely that given his wages, which I don't see Norwich subsidising to the degree that suits us, that they'll be stuck with him or he'll go to a richer club. So, optimism based on known facts or informed speculation=good thing! And vice versa!

What does Hanley "reappearing" have to do with anything? No sign he is going to re-sign is there? We can all wish for things.... We finished a long way from the play-offs last season with a good run after the possibility of getting there had completely vanished and clubs were often just seeing the season out. And a good thing too because we were nowhere near good enough. Middle of the table this season too I feel unless good defensive signings are made quickly and/or young lads are selected and come good. I honestly feel we are 'stuck" in the middle and are going nowhere fast. We could be in this league for years. As for the club's operating model of "silent running" let's hope it doesn't mean nothing much is happening.

Red is for Lancahire though. That's important to me. Not much of it obvs +the Red Rose and I'm happy! Away shirt can be anything really, though red has tended to be the most common choice per the years. Opposite to blue I suppose which, after all, is the point of an away shirt? Personally, I would never buy an away shirt and I wish we didn't use them away when there's no real clash.

I can see Wanderers being comfortably relegated again this season unless someone with more money than sense rescues them immediately. They don't have the players, they have had no pre-season training as far as I can see, is their ground available to them? They'll disappear into non-league football at this rate. About the only thing we couldn't accuse Venkys of.

He has good close control at speed and can take on defenders so when he first came I thought he would be a good wing-back. However he hasn't improved and there is rarely an end product. He wouldn't feature in our thinking this season if it were up to me.
