  1. Just wait till he installs his new head of recruitment. It'll be interesting what calibre the next set of loans are.
  2. No issue with Bennett actually staying the only issue - like many - is how the manager uses him. Good news on Nyambie, probably just gives them more time to cash in on him though. Bell it sounds like he's leaving because he wants to so fair enough. Chapman i really don't understand but some is probably making something from loaning him out. They are going to have to pull off some blinders this summer to ensure heads above water.
  3. I'd say the wage saving on Evans has already been offset by Ayala. I wonder how much of the cull is being done to cover that one.
  4. It's ragingly obvious to anyone who steps away from hanging onto his every word. He told us he'd talked the owners out of going for a double bounce after promotion. He said they wanted to spend but he'd advised the slow build journey instead. He said stability first, then building to challenge the top end. In order to do this he's gone through a catalogue of stuff, drones, analytical recruitment, scouts, Euro network and all the bells & whistles that go with it. Next it was he needs experience, got backing for that. Next it was luxury young loanees, got backing for that. Also in there he wasted 12 million on just 2 players. Now since he's failed to push it on in the last 2 years all we've had is a catalogue of excuses and sob stories. Hitting the heights of desperation now with comparisons of 25 years ago. Does the Preston manager tell fans they aren't the PNE of Tom Finneys day ? He can't do anything without a 100 million it seems so next best thing is make it more manageable for himself and his pals. You can 100% see why Boro fired him off after a few years ( then got promoted) and why he flunked at Coventry. Any research will show he was doing and saying the exact same stuff after a couple of years as he's been doing here. But we seemingly have to lump it for a lifetime because no one else in the football universe is capable of managing the current Blackburn Rovers.
  5. That's the market we are probably in now after the last few years wasted. Cast offs from a smaller club who regularly out performs us.
  6. Who in their right mind regardless of age thinks we are anything like the Premier League BRFC ? Even of the later years in there ? The guy is infuriating and insulting he'll literally say anything to spin his own agenda now. If we had any real Rovers connected directors i'm sure one of them would've flattened him by now. As it is on we plod to the tune of a self serving loser mentality manager and a set of detached box tickers.
  7. For Boxing i think the 02 is just perfect.
  8. Let's not present Fury as some bastian of all that's right either he's one of the biggest tits on the planet. Both are over rated greed driven lanky gits who've benefited from such a weak era. Yet whoever wins this will then get tagged with being one of the all time greats. Nothing could be further from the truth.
  9. He took to pissing in fans pockets and telling them it's raining 18 months ago. Unless the summer is unexpectedly kind we are going down next season unless there are 3 worse teams. He managed to win about 3 out of 20 or something second half of this season with the strongest squad hes had. Weaken it and well what can we really expect, alarm bells should be ringing loud and clear in VH group HQ. Having seen it with Kean then Coyle are they really still that stupid and ignorant to think history doesn't repeat itself as many times as you let it.
  10. All he's doing now is preparing the ground for a rough summer and fans back in next season. He'll self combust before October if things aren't going well believe me.
  11. This guy is just as sly as anything that's gone before him he just has a more humble frontage. The club these days is all about him, Movenk Rovers FC. I wish the ground would just swallow the tosser up.
  12. They've already done it, it's called 'nothing' it's what they are especially good at. Apart from signing cheques for losers to waste of course.
  13. Travis has been hampered with numerous knocks this season, or so we are told, so it's bound to have an impact. However i'm not altogether keen on what they seem to be trying to turn him into. Yet another though whose more suited to a quicker tempo more in your face style instead of what we try and play. So it's hard to tell if he's stalled or is just going through the motions being told what to do. Either way a player like him should be having his good points encouraged not shackled.
  14. He'll not change the habit of a lifetime it's what he does and how hes always worked. These are the things that define Tony Mowbray as bang average to poor at everywhere hes been in the last decade. If he was a results driven manager he wouldn't do the things he does but he isn't hes admitted as much. I think if he did resort to that it would be because there is virtually no brass available for any kind of Arma replacement. Back on BB even though he's a few years older and a bit more experienced now. Would anyone even go anywhere near 7 million to sign him ?
  15. If a guy who's suppose to have a bit of clout and is the direct line to the owners constantly hides in the shadows it's for good reason. Another who doesn't want to be held accountable for anything. We have a manager who sidesteps everything, a CEO who is almost invisible. Owners who we don't even know if they are all actually still breathing it's been that long since anything was heard from the horses mouth. The food chain at Ewood provides great shields to all in passing the blame. Yet quite possibly one of the main reasons for this is often here in Blackburn. Old school journalism would have dug him out years ago, a genuine board of directors would've held him to account as well. It's time he stepped forwards and showed a pair.
  16. Are they walking into it willingly though ? It looked suspiciously like they did last time, even Shaw warned it was coming 6 months earlier. Nobody did anything though then once it was upon us it triggered the start of the sales. Taps off, cost cutting, unable to re-invest allegedly, Owen Coyle, Tony Mowbray, relegation. All the hallmarks are here again but like last time those in the middle of it all still draw their wages and bonuses.
  17. And a keeper we probably didn't need. And extend players contracts we weren't even going to use last season. And carry players till they are fit to go and further their careers elsewhere. Oh and Stuart Downing.
  18. That's where a quick sale of the training ground land would've pulled them out the do do.
  19. Echoes of the Mahonney thing here as well, don't forget that started a long time before Bournemouth stepped in. Something i mentioned a while back that getting compen and add ons for these lads might appeal when money is tight. Cheaper than doffing out pay rises.
  20. The root and branch that a few heard about in an alleged reset is happening as i predicted. Mowbray & Waggot are the conductors of it not the casualties. A pruning back of everything to their level of capability after wasting the last few years. Covid gives them the shield they all need, they are preparing the ground for low gates and even lower income imo. The just keep our heads above water in this league model is the new target. If they miss that one as well we really are fooked.
  21. It's the latest convenient excuse - 'Oh we didn't really connect with the last one, the recruitment was all wrong for what we're trying to do here' 'Now if we bring in so and so that'll be the missing piece for us next season, top 6 here we come Mrs'
  22. It's currently sitting in the void between Blackburn and Pune and being orbited and held back by a team of excuse makers.
