  1. No, that is the point of the academy, the so called developing players are in the academy, if they are not good enough to effect the first team by a certain age then get rid. If you don't work on this principal, what you end up with, is loads of average players going nowhere. This is fine if that is what you want to produce. It is no good for a successful team. This is my view only, no need to state that you disagree as I have already come to that conclusion .
  2. If you want your team to be successful, players must be ready to play immediately. There is no time to develop in a successful team.
  3. If a couple fly in, I will be happy enough.
  4. It depends what he means by, " It will only be ‘renovated’ in the summer". It could mean that the pitch is only being renovated , during this summer. Or it could mean that, the pitch is not going to be renovated till the summer. That's before we get on to what he means by renovation
  5. Why ? If he is good enough, he will make it. If he isn't good enough, he won't make it. It has always been the same. If a player is not good enough for Blackburn Rovers shift him on. I am sick of watching sub standard players who may or may not develop.
  6. I think what he needs to do is, play football to the best of his ability. If that is not good enough, then he should be dropped.
  7. That doesn't mean that he would be a bad choice!
  8. I think that Hughes compared to Mowbray is looking forward.
  9. Why thank them for some of the poorest work ever done at the Rovers ?
  10. To tell you the truth, I am not bothered that the game is off, not much interest.
  11. If Mowbray worked to this so called football philosophy, it would be based around a pitch with a good surface.
  12. They employed Mowbray so I get your point
  13. Swansea is a ground I have never been to (recently it always seems to be a midweek game so I couldn't go, through work commitments, that doesn't apply now.) so I am looking forward to going there next season. On tomorrows game, I don't think our pitch will hinder you as much as our manager will hinder us.
  14. The parkas look to be from the 70's
  15. If you follow the conversation, I think you will find it was about the uptake of season tickets at certain prices. I stated the uptake could be effected if covid restrictions where still in place next season.
  16. Have you seen our recent performances. With Mowbray in charge there will be no nettle grasping.
  17. Neither decision is a reason for our poor performance
  18. But this discussion is about the uptake of season tickets next season.
  19. I think the latest quote says all UK people to have been given their first jab by September 2021. Do you think all restrictions will be removed before that target is achieved?
  20. I think your hopes will flounder in indecisive actions. I hope I am wrong.
  21. This is an excellent idea. It has been suggested and totally ignored in the recent past.
  22. If Mowbray has left I would buy a season ticket. At the suggested prices, I would expect a take-up of between 8000 and 10,000.
  23. I think the take up will be pretty low, because Covid restrictions will still be in place during some/all of next season.
  24. I went to a game there 1976/77. As a loan 18 year old, walking the streets of Bermondsey after the game was terrifying. Some may say character building, but I was shitting myself. Ah! Venkys can't take the memories away
