Yes. The financial heft of even newly promoted clubs in the PL means they can winkle out pretty well any Championship player they want. And TK yielded nearly as much as Raya did in terms of initial payment- we have no idea whether there are sell on provisions but TK has his admirers at other PL clubs. If he avoids any more bloopers between now and season end, not beyond the realms of possibility he would stay in the Premier League if Luton go down. -

If it is any consolation, Cambridge have an injury crisis and their new boss has said the next League game takes priority. Like a helping of humiliation with our embarrassment at losing? -

Chris Sutton has made an extraordinary prediction. Rovers to win 6-1 -
I watched that Wimbledon game. Well on top playing nice stuff until the box where it all fell apart. Increasingly lost our way, our rhythm, sense of purpose in the second half. Sound familiar?

Toss of the dice. Sheffield United under Wilder play to Ben's strengths despite being a basket case. If he scores soon after arriving he will surprise people.

Assuming this is the preview topic, avoiding a Cupset will be an achievement in current circumstances. -

On hopeless keepers, Jason Steele at Ewood but watch him last night. Just hope we don't have to wait ten years for Leo to come good... -

So goal keeping coaching, personal opinions about transfer and loan strategy and zero rumours. Either no transfers and GB and the scouting department of 8 are on a New Year cruise or there is an effective lock down. Either way we are in for a surprise. Probably unpleasant... -
Loan terminated and returning to Ewood for recovery.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach
philipl replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Given Swag set the objective as staying in the division and developing youngsters, JDT is fulfilling the mandate admirably with an 11 point gap plus goal difference seperating us from the relegation places. There is no basis for dismissing him based on the CEO's targets. 😇⚽ - as close to a tin hat as I could find... -

Hope the Crewe lad is a monster. We were completely bullied by the Rotherham Giants forwards physically. Semir looks like he could become the real deal. Another desperately disappointing afternoon with 8 senior players missing. Those calling for JDT to go need to appoint a witch doctor not a football coach. -

Rotherham have got to be set up to win this game. No better chance to break their away day horrors. Might be more entertaining than many would anticipate. Would be nice to be entertained with 3 points at the final whistle too. Happy New Year Rovers- here is to you reciprocating!🥰 -

With Barnes out for the season, we are a centre half light so I am not surprised we are making a move in that area. I wouldn't rule out new deals for Gallagher and Dolan. -

Much as I admire and respect JDT, it is hard to imagine him being angry. I would have been beyond livid had I been coach on Boxing Day. The toys would have been out of the pram and the pram would have gone round somebody's neck... That said on the very occasional times I have completely lost it, I have not got all of what I wanted. Hull had their own stinker on Boxing Day losing at home in a full stadium to Sunderland. So who has bounce backability. No option but to retain Wahlstedt. Brittain, Moran and Ennis benched. Travis and Garrett back for sure- if nothing else the Hull lads will know they have been tackled. Sigurdsson to number 10 and Szmodics further forward? And don't forget to pack the romper suits onto the Swagmobile for the subs bench. -

I feared the two late goals by Watford were worse than a gut punch and so it proved. Self-belief has evaporated. Around the second minute we had prolonged possession on the edge of the Huddersfield box- had no idea what to do with it, looked toothless, lost the ball and the pattern was set. Except we forgot how to keep possession. Moran had another stinker, Sigurdsson was peripheral and Brittain turned backwards far too often. Wahstedt really cost us with that horror show for the first goal. Everyone else except Pickering, Transtad and Wharton were pretty anonymous and those three were too few to lift the malaise. JDT has a massive job to do before Friday night and negligible resources to work with.
