  1. What a pass to send Brittain away!
  2. Swansea are playing totally differently from the Russell Martin pass pass pass. They are direct, break quickly, press high and usually shoot hard and accurately on sight. They are vulnerable at the back and defend surprisingly narrowly preferring to pack their box. Let's hear what the injury situation is but I would expect the eleven who started the second half to start this game- Moran was moving freely when he joined the lads for the post match plaudits in front of the fans last night.
  3. 16 different scorers now this season but if Brittain is to be pushed forward, breaking his duck maybe one of the most important
  4. Wouldn't bet against a sale and loan back for Adam Wharton and some crumbs allotted for the new Talalovic..
  5. Fans must be happy and silently praying it continues.. Or haven't realised midweek falls on a Tuesday.
  6. Guess which former CL regular club got bought for a mind bending 800m last year by a totally clueless new Owner. Hint their fans are envious of neighbours Clermont Forande. PS hadn't realised Nice are going so well- that was a fantastic result from our under 21s a couple of weeks ago.
  7. Not all 9 can get on. Adam Wharton and Trav in their own ways are as good as at least 90% of Championship midfielders. Garrett and Markanday are a lot better than most Rovers supporters give them credit for. Gamble and Atcheson are there to get minutes had Rovers gone three ahead. We were without Pears, Moran, Hedges, Leonard and Gallagher from the senior squad plus at least half a dozen youngsters who should now be first team squad are injured.
  8. Evertonians would offer you the name of their coach... I believe restrictions on Saudi women attending have been lifted unlike in Iran where only visiting female supporters are allowed. My wife was one of only 30 women in a crowd of 80,000 for a World Cup qualifier in Tehran...
  9. When you have billionaire owners and you are doing a deal like this, the tires are coming completely off the wheels. At the very least, it signals there is zero confidence of any funds arriving from India in the near future. This is literally a promotion or bust season and I have seen enough to know promotion is possible with the current squad, coaching and a smidgen of long overdue good fortune. I have every confidence in GB and JDT but close to none in SWAG.
  10. Probably get 696 to watch the Ewood grass grow.
  11. Young had kicked the ball away a couple of minutes before the second foul so he had had his lucky break not getting a second yellow.
  12. Totally agree with this. Playing wise, Rovers are in a good place now being able to put on such a solid display with the current unavailabilities. Keeper apart, this is not a bad bench to have and good to see Gamble and Atcheson asa Championship game subs. 14Ennis 15Gamble 18Markanday 23A Wharton 27Travis 30Garrett 31Atcheson 33Telalovic 34Hilton
  13. Given the player availability and the way Millwall play, I doubt JDT will change the starting eleven from Saturday. I would expect changes when Swansea come on Saturday including Adam Wharton coming back in.
  14. If you are drifting into cash issues, things like the web site and phone lines going down are the controllable issues you DON'T allow to happen.
  15. First time for a long time I have listened to a footballer talking for half an hour
  16. Millwall are more mobile and dangerous than Cardiff up front but their defence this season can be got at. If Rovers play our normal game and whoever is in the makeshift forward line has their shooting boots on, we will be OK. But it will take a lot of defending from front to back to keep a clean sheet.
  17. Would Pears have saved that 80th minute shot yesterday?
  18. Didn't realise we were signing a right back but what an addition!
  19. Gone from Dingles will comfortably survive to Dingles will have a bad start but be OK to Struggling to see Dingles getting out of this to Dingles lose to Bournemouth and they are as good as down already
  20. Only 2 and a bit league games but I am really liking what I am seeing of Leo Wahlstedt. Fantastic reaction save at the end. Hill, Hyam and Pickering all did their jobs excellently but what a fantastic performance from Hayden Carter. Cardiff are a big mobile side and Carter handled them exceptionally well. Tronstad is showing everything we hoped he would be and also handled the physical pressure brilliantly mostly by being too cute to get caught. Sigurdsson looked well off the pace and Szmodics had a slow burner performance which got better and better. Brittain did well but ultimately was a right back playing out of position as was JRC who looks increasingly comfortable further forward and could/should have had a hattrick. Dolan through ball JRC scored off was an absolute peach but sadly for him and us two really sharp chances in the first half didn't threaten a goal nor did that chance with the last kick of the first half. Ennis continues to show promise.
  21. First half shots on target 0-0, second half 1-2. Our's went in, their's didn't.
  22. I like the way JDT has us playing now. Hated the crawl sideways slow passing across the back but now Rovers zip it about and it is clear the players are looking fir a player in space who can develop that space and players are giving the man on the ball far more options.
  23. Just checked and see he started for Chile but saw no other mention of him in the first half which ended with Venezuela taking the lead.
