  1. Sigurdsson has shown more of a striker's instinct finishing his two goals from inside the 6 yard box in two games than Gally has since he came as a loanee. Surely push him forward ahead of Moran Szmodics and Markanday?
  2. The impression I am getting is that it isn't just the tiny vocal minority but the whole fan base now has zero confidence in SWAG. The last six months have been an object lesson in how not to communicate with your customers. He has not only misjudged how and when to speak but has become a laughing stock meme when he has to the extent JDT made the bus a running joke for at least a couple of months. His inability to communicate reasons for decisions and then produce risible unconvincing rationales when he attempts have destroyed his credibility. Marketing to the fans is a case study in failure. Every CEO always has a massive backwards management job with the shareholders but the total absence of the occasional cuddly word for SWAG from Madam throughout his how many years -7? suggests he is failing in that direction also to the enormous detriment of the club. I know how difficult it is to tell someone they are failing to their face but I think it needs doing on 31 October.
  3. I am now worried the crowd might turn against Pears if he has a howler against Leicester. I am certain Hyam's downturn in form is because of Pears undermining his confidence in how and where everything is behind him.
  4. @DalglishPaul Staggering stats. 97% of former cat 1 academy players now aged 21 to 26 never made an EPL appearance. 70% weren't handed a pro contract at an EPL or EFL club. And only 1 in 10 went on to make more than 20 league appearances in the top four tiers of English football.
  5. Unless JDT and SWAG have agreed they are consciously playing good cop bad cop with the fans, the latest dig about missing fans in the Blackburn End suggests there is a serious non-seeing eye-to-eye in the hallowed corridors of Ewood...
  6. We beat a far stronger Leicester side just six months ago.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66958019 And Sheffield Wednesday have a face out of joint owner cutting off funding but apparently not selling
  8. I expect it will be a cracking game. Yes Leicester have won all their games except Hull home but several of those wins have been really scruffy which could easily have been losses. As for Rovers, the old refrain, cut out those errors at the back and take our chances up front. Do that and Leicester willreally struggle.
  9. Just watched the Rovers TV recording of the full game including the last 23 minutes when the Rovers TV live audio died.. 8 changes but Rovers played JDT ball as though it was the full first team. Everybody was good but special mentions for Sigurdsson who is a class above Moran is going to be a class above Markanday really looking the part now and has goals in him Tronstad now looking to be at the pace of Championship and a serious contender for midfield starting position Garrett lovely take and goal Hill had a slip or two but is clearly good enough to play Central defence. Telalovic not yet at Championship pace or into JDT Ball but looks like he could grow into it. All in all the depth in our small extremely young squad is clearly a significantly level higher than Cardiff
  10. I have seen a few Rovers wins at the Bridge down the years including the day all away fans were banned nationally. Bought my ticket at Harrods ticket department. Howard Gayle ran across the arc to celebrate in front of the totally empty away end arc after scoring the winner. Poch is a brilliant manager and surely will get a tune out of his billion pounds misfits. Might have started last night against Brighton with four left backs in the starting eleven.. That said, I am confident JDT will give them a game to remember.
  11. Swag must have heaved a huge sigh of relief when we were drawn away. The sad reality is the away tie at Chelsea will earn us more than most home league games do.
  12. Yes Runason must have faced numerous Sigurdsson penalties in training in the national squad.
  13. 5,371 Massive Swag fail As CEO, his track record is at best mediocre.
  14. Unwell tonight
  15. That is going to be soulless for the corporate folk. I once was taken to corporate at White Hart Lane during renovations and it was the weirdest experience. Like watching it on TV with no commentary. We won.
  16. Famous last words but I like the line up tonight.
  17. Ten or eleven changes from the Ipswich game with Wahlstedt and Tronstad definite starters.
  18. Club website still down- is this a ransomware attack?
  19. Top 16 qualify for Cup competitions next year so there is something riding on it.
  20. Anyone else experiencing www.rovers.co.uk being down currently?
  21. The big problem is wages are now so high that decent PL cast offs rarely come down into the Championship and Championship players for that matter are not picked up by the PL to anything like the extent they used to be. That said, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham and Villa of the 8 PL teams in Europe were in the Championship not that long ago.
  22. Even with 5 injuries and Buckley away, JDT can make 10 or 11 changes and nobody would be making a debut and the majority would be players we would expect to be full first team covers vying to be picked every week. I wonder if we will see 45 minutes of Sigurdsson at number 10 building him up then Moran or Markanday there second half?
  23. JDT has blamed Individual Errors for 4 goals against at Ipswich rather than the system being too open. Presumably on the basis of players picking themselves that is bad news for those individuals? With regards to Adam Wharton, his running style might be contributing to the teenage strop meme combined with him being a fraction slow to set off on occasions which for such an instinctively gifted player seems strange. His engine is not yet at the level needed but won't improve from sitting on the bench. My point about two or three players covering him is that if he gives the main man detailed to keep close the slip it is not unusual to see one or two others closing in to block off a trade mark killer forward pass. Hopefully, with the likes of Sigurdsson Moran and Ennis stepping up oppositions will have other Rovers players who need the sort of attention Adam is getting
  24. We are 4 points off 5th. Ennis played a sensational assist in the 20 minutes we have seen of him. Sigurdsson scored a fabulous goal and looked different class in the 45 minutes we have seen of him Moran has been both little boy lost and shown why he is so highly rated. If we get two out of three of those on the field in most games doing the best of what they are capable of, oppositions won't have the luxury of double and triple covering Adam Wharton. These are hard facts
  25. Luton v Dingles on Tuesday. Time for a TK blinder of a game.
